Bought these for an elderly lady do you find it hard to walk in the snow and ice she love them

They were very good.

Over shoe product so warmth rating n/a.Stretch good for size 8 but on friends 8 1/2 burst at mile 6 but mine started bursting soon after.Thicker banding could add strength.Velcro over straps kept opening after few yards so removed and fine without. Friend removed at mile 4 for same reason.

Broke/ snapped first time out .it was extremely icy that dayHad pervious pair yrs so I guess they were faulty and I was unlucky .Returned them but they were returned to me presumably undeliverable

They did the job but only lasted for 2 walks before the rubber snapped.

In theory they seemed a good idea. My wife thought they’d help her with walking during icy and snowy conditions. Unfortunately, one snapped on first use. Although they performed well, the rubber which is within the metal coils seems to be thin and obviously prone to snapping when stretched over boots. Either the rubber needs to be of a tougher quality or a complete redesign is in order. I would point out that on reporting to the sellers, they offered a refund or a replacement set which was much appreciated. The seller cannot be faulted for their customer service but I’m not confident that the same thing won’t happen again. Next time I think I’d purchase a set with a different design, perhaps with studs rather than metal coils.
