Heats up fast, doesn’t pull my hair and has a smooth, firm grip when using for straightening. I haven’t used it to curl yet but I think it would work great for that too. Excellent flat iron!

I usually purchase my flat irons from Walmart because they're less expensive. I came across an ad for this product the other day on social media and was intrigued by the infrared heating. My hair is dry and breaks easily and I was looking for something more gentle on my hair. After reading the reviews of softer, shinier hair and almost none that were below three stars, (on various review sites) I decided to throw down the money for it.My first time using it was this morning and I was very pleasantly surprised. There was absolutely NO snagging of hair at all. The plates glided over my hair smoothly and effortlessly. I can tell just by one use that there is a huge difference between the Miss Priss and my prior flat iron. I have a ton of short hairs that are due to the snagging and breaking from my other flat iron. The Miss Priss did not pull or break any hair on my head. It's also very lightweight as compared to my Remington flat iron and also easy to maneuver. Product does heat up fairly quickly, if you're in a hurry. I use heat protection spray before blow-drying and straightening, (store-bought, nothing special from a website). Also, purple is my favorite color so of course I purchased that one!If you are in need of a nice flat iron that won't fry your hair or pull any out, I highly recommend spending the extra money for this one. I don't think you'll be disappointed. There is a slight odor when you first use it but I believe it's probably some type of coating on the plates that heat up. Every flat iron I've used had this odor in the beginning, but the odor did not transfer to my hair and kept the smell of my heat protection spray.

My straightener of 10 years finally broke. I needed a replacement fast. This was a quick purchase that surprised me! Doesn’t pull my hair- heats to 450*. Only draw back is that my hair is thin…I used it on my dtrs thick hair and I did need to do it on smaller pieces and go over it twice. BUT it still worked great and I’m straightening her hair about 2-3x a week. Def worth the purchase!

Love this one. It's my 2nd one I've had. The 1st one lasted about a year and a half though so I don't really call that great as far as durability. I do hair professionally so I take care of my tools. I think it deserves 5 stars because the tension is great. Some irons straiten but don't smooth. I need an iron that does both. I thought $100 was pricey but there are pricier ones out there too. I bought 3 different irons after my 1st miss priss shorted out and just didn't like any of them. That's what brought me back here to just bite the bullet and get another head kandy iron. If your hair doesn't look good most of us don't feel good and it throws off our day, this iron straightens and removes frizz both so for that I give 5 stars. Hopefully this lasts longer than 16 mos

This straightener works wonders!

This was my 14 year olds Christmas present and she is beyond happy with this straightener. No more borrowing mamas straightener. Hallelujah!!! Heats up fast she says and does an excellent job especially with the diffrent heat settings. ❤

Nice & Expensive! Heat very quickly, it works but, I don’t think this is best choice for thick coarse hair because it’s slender size and take a long time & don’t really get a straight shiny hair finish. A little bit disappointed.

The picture on the left is my natural hair and the results are great! I try to only go over each piece once to reduce heat damage and it’s hard to find a straightener good enough for that.
