Jet Set Radio

I like this music simply because it's some of the best electronic music I have ever heard. Hideki Naganuma is a great artist and I have talked with him, he is very humble man you should check out all his music work it's worth your time. The production is superb and on point it has a OK IM GONNA SAY THIS FIRST SINCE NO ONE HAS STATED IT YET. THE CD COMES WITH MORE THAN JUST THE TRACKS LISTED, THERE ARE ALSO SAMPLES OF THE CHARTERS VOICES, CERTAIN LOOPS, AND EVEN HIDEKI NAGANUMA'S PERSONAL SAMPLES. THERE IS ALSO WALL PAPERS AND CALENDARS FOR 2001. THESE EXTRAS REALLY MAKE IT WORTH IT FOR A FAN BOY OF THE GAME. Jet grind radio has a sense of flow to it that keeps your ears wanting more. The style is very happy unlike most electronic music that seems deep and depressing. This is the finest in Japanese synth-pop. The music is very similar to ssx tricky sound track as well as a few fantastic plastic machine's tracks. Been playing the game since it has been out, I currently use the music to DJ with at bars and clubs, people are like what is that music. Then the next time they show up its like JET SET RADIO!!!!!

Jet Set Radioooo!!!! Bam a flurry of memories come back hearing the introduction to the game. This CD release ties nicely with re-release of the Dreamcast classic. SEGA worked hard to get 29 of the 30 original songs licensed for the games revival. This soundtrack does not have all of them, but it has some of the best. It also features tracks from Jet Set Radio Future (tracks 11-16). My only gripe with it is the front cover, is it is just a piece of paper. Granted its got cool art work of Beat and Gum, but it would have been nice to have a few papges of art work or other info. I wont let this bring the score down, cause the music put together will make you forget all about it. A must buy for any fan of the game, and people who want to try something different.

A great collection of songs from both Jet Set Radio and Jet Set Radio Future. The tracks also appear on iTunes as a 9.99 collection for JSR and JSRF respectively. So it's 20 dollars for digital download, 14ish for physical copy. CD arrived kind of poorly packaged, the teeth in the case were busted off, but that's hardly the product's fault. This is the first CD I've bought in over ten years. So worth it.

There are some great songs missing from the game such as Guitar Vader's "Super Brother" and "Magical Girl" but the music that's here is still worthwhile. Credit goes to Hideki Naganuma for allowing his music to be published. I don't know what happened with Guitar Vader, Daevid Soul or any of those others that didn't make it to this soundtrack but shame on them for not giving the rights to their music for this compilation. Naganuma is the beneficiary here because this becomes essentially a solo album by him and his music is very good. He is a master at sampling, and beat/loop creation. His style does not entirely fall into pure Hip/Hop, Techno, and definitely not punk rock but it's got elements of all three. I recommend this.

I recently purchased the HD edition of Jet Set Radio on the PSN, and I have to say that it brought back MANY fond memories of the Dreamcast era. Playing this game after years of not even remembering it, was something that made me feel like a kid again. As soon as I heard the title music, I wanted to buy the soundtrack. I was so glad to see that they re-issued the soundtrack to go along with the re-release. It may not have all 30 songs from the original soundtrack, but it does have my favorites. It even has a few from JSR Future. Absolutely fantastic.

If you a fan of Jet Set Radio at all then this is a great buy. I play this CD almost daily, and people always get out of the my car with a smile asking about the music.

Classic album. A must for those who like video game OSTs.

Always been a fan of the JSR series and I love how this soundtrack features music from both JSR and JSRF! And the cover is cool too!
