Eurow Tail Gator Sunshade Portable Shade

I really enjoy this sunshade. Easy to put up and easy down if strong winds come up. I work as a medic on Film sets and it has worked perfectly to shade the back of my Ford Escape; my "working truck" in a variety of environments. Keeps my sunscreen and comfort care out of the direct sun and provides a shady spot to sit in locations where there is no shade. The weights for the legs are perfect on asphalt or sand where staking out would be difficult or impossible. Totally worth the money!!

I cannot say enough good things about this product! I mean look how cool it looks on the back of my Prius! Although my Prius is actually not magnetic on the part where it’s supposed to connect magnetically it still works perfectly with the bungee cords that they include. It gives me the perfect amount of shade when I’m camping in my car. And everyone is always wowed by how cool it looks on our Hotel Prius. It’s made very well the seams are tight and it has withstood several camping trips with Highwinds. We can stand up while inside. Just buy it, it’s worth the money.

I like the idea, and the shade works best if one has an SUV. The place at the top where the awning meets the vehicle has a sleeve for a magnetic strip (a big on, 2-3" by several feet in length); if a magnet will not adhere to your vehicle, this can be problematic. We have a Toyota Tacoma with a camper shell, and it does not work as well as I had hoped. The material is very light and it got a slit in it, possibly from the camper shell door. So, why did I give it four stars? I still like the concept and the directions are easy to understand. It is helpful, when putting it together that at least one person is taller than my 5' (my 5'6" daughter helpd, and climbed onto the tailgate), but poles and receivers are color-coded, making it pretty easy to put up (~15-20 minutes for the first time, far less next time) and take-down & pack was about 5 minutes.

This product was reasonably easy to setup, however you will likely have a serious problem that makes it unusable if your vehicle has a power/adjustable tailgate (and most power tailgates let you adjust how far they open).There are bungee cords you need to attach from the end of the canopy (that drapes over the tailgate with the magnet) down to the bumper/wheel well/tire rim. The purpose is to hold the canopy in place - so they need to be snug/have tension on them.If you have a power/adjustable tailgate then that tension will start adjusting your tailgate - and closing it - so you will not be able to setup the canopy up with the tailgate open; you would need to have the tailgate closed (or only partially open) and instead mount it on the roofline...which if you were planning on using the back of your SUV to store things and have access to them under the canopy defeats the purpose.I'm guessing that on vehicles which don't have a power/adjustable tailgate this will work quite well - those tailgates tend to "lock" in their single open position and that should be enough resistance where you could secure the bungee cords without any issue.The shipper had the item in the mail quickly, it was packaged well, and so on - so nothing at all bad to say about the shipper!

So far it's working great! I use it at dog events and it provides a nice shady area while being very easy to set up. I haven't tried it in the rain yet, so we will have to wait and see if it holds up in wet weather. I'm 55 years old and I can easily set it up by myself. It works great with my Honda Odyssey. No more struggling with the ez-up and having to ask for help. At the last dog event I attended, several people asked about it and were going to definitely buy one. One person actually ordered one using his phone at the trial.

I purchased this after seeing one that a friend had. I was amazed that it came with everything you need to set it up and stabilize it.I use it to shade my dogs in the kennel. It sets up pretty easily. My first time I had help. The second time I did it myself and it went well. I love the idea and it works well. The only thing I would change it to have a longer string at the end that fits into the weights. I use this in a windy area. I set this up on asphalt so I cannot use the stakes. So I have added a string to secure it to the weights. Works perfectly.

It was easy to set up by one person if you are tall. It took me 15 minutes to set up the first time including reading the instructions and only 5 minutes to disassemble and put back into it's bag. It provided pliantly of shade throughout the day. It is wider than the width of the vehicle so you need extra space on either side when assembling it and when it is erect. Several of my friends want to purchase one after seeing it to use at dog sporting events.

Enjoy the sunshade! I tested it out when I first got it. It took me about a half an hour to set it up first time. Poles are color coded making it easy. Used it at the Kenny Chesney concert and people were asking me about it. I like this a lot!I give it 4 stars because it does take some time for one person to put up.
