SwagCycle EB-1 Classic Lightweight Aluminum Folding eBike with High-Torque 250W Motor and Dual Disc Brakes; Electric Bike with Pedal-Assist and Swappable Bike Seats

I purchased this bike not too long after it first came out, so there were not a lot of reviews. I needed something for my 4 mile commute to work (8 miles roundtrip). Having purchased one other e-bike that was a major let down, I did not have high expectations for this one, but I was hopeful since I already have a Swagtron scooter (I had a major issue with it once, but I sent it back to Swagtron and they fixed it quickly). I can honestly say that I like it so far. I had fun riding it into work, it handled well, and it carried me and my backback with books in it fine (just over 200 pounds). The best thing about it, is that it fit easily underneath my desk at work (see pics). I was able to charge it at work without anyone even knowing it was under there unless I told them. This works very well for me, because many people have complained about people bringing ebikes into the building, as they can get in the way of workspace. The only negative I have right now, is that it is good for full-throttle, or pedal-assist, but definitely not for pedal-only (which is why I chose it over the Swagcycle Pro). I would have liked to ride with throttle to work, but pedal-only back home for exercise after work, but being 5'8" it is too hard on my knees to pedal-only. However, that option would work for a shorter person, or a kid.About a month in, and it is still performing as expected.

First impression seems very well built. Out of the box assembly only took a few minutes, charged in about 2 hrs, Took it for a spin around the block very easy to ride I’m 6 feet tall and about 250 lbs seems to move pretty well. A little wobbly at low speeds but I haven’t ridden a bike in about 20 years so that might have something to do with that. Over all I’m very impressed considering the price I will review again in a couple months or if something changes

I like my electric scooters but when I go take one to a park, I scoot for fun and walk for exercise. I either walk with my scooter or walk without it and then return to my car to retrieve it after I've done the walk. With my SwagCycle I don't have that dilemma. I can pedal for exercise and scoot for fun. I recommend it for those who want to give their body a workout and their mind a break.

The good bike came in a box that the shipper really crushed, but the bike was in good shape anyway. Well made, easy to finish assembling, and fun to ride.The bad bike was in an OK box. But there were bolts missing that hold the battery pack in place, the front tube and tire were mounted backwards and caused a clicking sound like a bad front bearing, and the electric drive motor failed after 1/4 mile of use. The parts of the bike looked good, but someone very badly assembling things at the factory.We had some communication with customer service at Swagtron. Customer service was polite, but unhelpful.So the bad bike is on it's way back, thanks to Amazon!

It worked for around one trip, and throttle won't work. The battery is on full charge but does nothing when I pushed the throttle.

Bought this for my 13 year old and he loves it. He assembled it by himself the day it arrived. Being able to pedal or use power is a great benefit. The battery is long lasting and the lights indicate when you need to plug it in. It’s very compact and children can use it but yet big enough for an average size adult. Light weight and portable.

Exellent ebike very well made battery charges quickly smooth ride very sturdy. I recommend this bike excellent .

It's way too small for adults! It feels like riding a child's bike - I'm 6 feet tall.
