JDMSPEED New HEI Ignition Distributor 6522R Replacement for Chevy Inline 6-Cyl 230 250 292

I upgraded the ignition in my 1978 292 6cyl C20 this thing works as it should we put it in a little over a year ago an have had no issues with it whatsoever, it's a one-wire ignition.

I absolutely enjoy the quality of work when it comes to this distributor. Easy to install and very functional.

Distributor is to short by an half an inch and won’t engage the oil pump. I almost lost my engine. I’ve tried to contact the seller but no reply. I guess I’ll buy a good one from elsewhere.

Put in 42 Chevy with a 72 250 inline six that was running a worn out points style distributor. Really perked it up. Highly recommend.

Number 1 is not marked on the cap. It’s a guessing game trying to compare wire placement on the new cap versus the old one. There are no instructions. I sent an email and message to the supplier and got no response. Did a bunch of research watching videos on YouTube and reading blogs. Finally figured it out and got it installed and working. Big improvement from points and condenser. Could have been supported more with installation instructions.

My mechanic stated that I did not need this.

Pulled old dropped in new.

I installed this on a Chevelle with a 250 in it. The new distributor helped solve a slight surge that had been plaguing me for some time. I dealt with the resistor wire by wiring the system through a general purpose relay. I gave it three stars because I had to go through the unit and tighten up all the screws. The rotor was so loose it was tipping back and forth under the cap.
