Torts 2e 2nd Edition

Only a fraction of this wonderful casebook (notes dominating) read so far. I will read every word. Torts, in its endless conflicts and fine distinctions, sometimes omits the human side. This concern for the human side permeates this law school basic textbook.It bears restating: Some say yes, some say no.

Bought this book for my first year of law school because my professor assigned it to us. This book does a great job of breaking down the elements of each tort and then providing many case examples of how the elements play out in court. Very great book with many practice questions within each chapter. In addition, I would recommend using a supplement to get some multiple choice practice in since this book does not have as many MC as it does hypotheticals.

Shorter than most casebooks. It does a really good job of presenting cases in pairs that appear to contradict each other, but it contains an excessive number of cases and almost nothing else. The shear number of cases can be overwhelming, and many of them are edited down to a page or less. This leads to a lot of cases that are so heavily edited that it is difficult to understand them. I found at least one case that made no sense, and upon reading the full case online, I realized it was because the editing of that case was terrible.

LOVE HOW THIS TEXTBOOK WAS WRITTEN! If this is not your torts textbook, definitely buy this book! Mine came with a ton of notes in it, but in the end I added a ton of notes to it as well. It evens out.

THis was my required torts textbook. Honestly not too bad. very interesting, a lot of cases. Perhaps too many cases and not enough depth into each one. Don't buy this unless it's for class, of course.

Book arrived promptly in condition that was promised. My daughter is actively using it in law school; she says that it is as informative and interesting as a textbook can be. THANK YOU!

Rather than mixing essays in with cases, this book uses cases to discuss cases. Really fun and entertaining, but a pain to brief.
