I sincerely LOVE THIS TRANSLATION. So many beautiful words written in this translation. If you have lots of translations I highly recommend you add this to your library.

True to condition described. I'm so happy to have Alonza translation again previously I just had the New Testament so I really happy with this purchase.

This version is the most accurate in translation bar none. Still do not agree with 100 percent of the translation of the text from the codexes that we have copies of. Still it beats the rest. Former Bible scholar here If you want to study the Bible for any reason, this version is the one to get.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading Mr. Lamsa's "Ancient Eastern Text" of the Book of Psalms along with the King James Version of the Bible. I will continue to read from both Bibles.

Right from the Aramaic, it doesn't have all the books but it does give an easy translation. I highly recommend this bible for anyone just learning because it goes really well with Llamsa's idiom book. The quality is good and sturdy and the words are clear. It's heavy and the font is pretty clear. (Not tiny)

How I wish this version of the Bible had been a part of my religious education years ago. So many things that appear in other translations are made plain in this very important document. This Bible has become my main source of Scripture, now others in my congregation are buying their own copies. While some of the information is very different from the King James Version, as I expected it to be in light of the KJV translators sources, there are places where Lamsa adds touches of Elizabethan flair, such as "thou", which is not needed to convince one that this is a Bible. This translation and the Nag Hammadi Library have added such beautiful understanding into why things were done by Biblical characters in the context of Judaism as it existed then. After receiving this Bible and studying the Nag Hammadi Library as a research companion, I marvel at how much information we have and how little traditional Christianity searches for more detail. For me, Lamsa's translation is a major, positive leap into understanding. If we are to "reason together", then this Book is a major source of reason. Let's come together over this one. This Book is a ten on a one-to-five scale.

It's not my place to offer a review of any bible, but instinct tells me that this bible must be an improvement, for one reason: The bible versions we have, now, have been mistranslated, both intentionally by religions and governments by dishonest people -and- unintensionally by honest people. This direct translation from Aramaic to English is long overdue, bringing to light all mistranslated verses, many of which will totally change the context or meaning in significant ways. Don't look for the beneficiaries of the mistranslated bibles to embrace this version. Why say that? Because they don't embrace the finding of the "lost" books of the bible, which were deliberately removed, unsanctioned by God Almighty, better named as the "hidden" books of the bible. Well, those books are now available. All things will be known in the end of days, NOW. Praise God: The missing bible books are now here -and- the Aramaic to English bible is now here. Just another reminder that we live in the end of days. Mark me down: Thank you Lord for making all things known. I guess they wasted their time hiding and changing Gods word. Too bad. We now have the "whole" and the "accurate" as God intended. This should send the message loud and clear: God cannot be mocked; it won't work. Now...I hope I have the time to read it all and connect the dots.

Being dyslexic, I think in pictures and the ancient languages are graphic. This makes understanding Scripture easier for me. There are a few passages where the literal ancient language differs extremely from the Latin based translations.

The Bible arrived in new and very good condition. Packaging was neat and the pages are clean and well preserved. Very happy with the quality and overall condition. Thank you.

Just don't but this product and others from Amazon that are impress on damend or impress by amazon, poor quality and overpriced (usually this happens with academic books, expansives ones, not this case). Acess the content by other bussinness that are not Amazon.
