FJC (FJC9144) PAG 150 Oil Charge - 4 oz

Most of the oil charge products out there also include a proprietary performance enhancer. That seems fine once but if I need to add oil again or several ounces of oil I don't want to keep on adding the enhancers especially as I have never been able to confirm what the enhancers are (lube, gas, or?) or even how much of them is too much. So this product is ideal in that it is just oil and gas.I add it high side with the engines off and I have found that having the can upside down and heating the can with a hair dryer dispenses the product quickly. NOTE: Just make sure the gauges are under a hundred pounds or so. This is to make sure the can does not get anywhere near burst pressure.

Works fine, make sure you turn the can upside down to feed as a liquid, otherwise it will not work. I use the service hose on my gauge set and open the low side valve just a enough that it will slowly feed the oil into the low side port.

Had noisy compressor on my 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Added half a can and its quite now. Ended up changing the plastic refrigerant metering tube (orfice) for $2.00 also purchased here. Sometimes when you add oil it circulates trash back to the orfice and clogs it up. I recommend adding about half can, run the a/c 10 minutes or so and then replace the orfice. You will loose your freon but I guarantee the oil with circulate trash and make you a/c not as effective if your vechicle I'd older. The office is located by the silver acculater inside the pipe after you remove the large nutt. You will need a small hook or tool to get the old orfice out. Make sure you put the new one in the same way. Good luck.

In general, it is not a bad deal, considering it could fix your car ac for less than 10 bucks. On the other hand, if you have a walmart nearby, you could get the same thing there for a little less.
