Durable, best stuffed toy we’ve had for our dogs!
This toy is extremely durable! I have a dog that shreds every other toy she gets, but this one lasts us a few months before she can get into it. The fins aren’t too hard for her to rip off but the actual stuffing inside and the body are difficult to get through for her. Her Mac toys last her forever and she absolutely loves them

It lasted a few days!
Ok, I have a cattle dog. He is 1 and tears up every toy. See my other reviews, it’s true. This shark lasted 2 days of thrashing before it was torn up. For this dog, that is impressive. For a typical dog, this toy would be a great investment. For an aggressive chewer, not so much. I was just happy he got more than 10 minutes out of it!!

Best plush toy for dogs who destroy everything!
The media could not be loaded. Caption title might have gave off the wrong impression about my dog... he doesn’t shred my house to pieces, he’s actually never destroyed anything that wasn’t his own toy but darn if he doesn’t do some damage to the stuff animals I have gotten him in the past! I have been a dedicated member to Barkbox for almost 2 years now and I used to get the Super Chewer boxes because normal toys he demolished in 2.5 seconds but it’s now to the point I’m pretty disappointed in the toys they were sending in my boxes (they are all just super hard plastic toys my dog is barely interested in cuz they are like playing with rocks). So we switched to the classic boxes with plush toys so he at least enjoys them for an hour while he shreds them until I found these!!!! A family member suggested these toys to me and I will NEVER buy another brand plush toy ever again! I waited to put this review up just to see how well the toys would hold up and we are over a month into having them and there is one slight little tear at the top fin of the shark but his rabbit is still all in one piece! I’m beyond impressed! All the squeakers still work too and they are usually the first to go and be popped magically somehow through all the fluff. Super cheap toys in comparison to some name brands. I will definitely be stocking up on some more of these along the way and it’s nice to come home and know it’s not going to look like a bomb of cotton went off in your living room every afternoon!

Well built!
My dog loves it and has not destroyed it yet! I didn’t expect it to last this long. Going on 4 months now. Well built!

Only One Has Lasted Longer
My 28lb standard poodle shreds stuffies more efficiently than Iron Mountain shreds documents. “ Fluff & Tuff Mac the Shark” has outlasted all but the “Fluff and Tuff Ruby the Trout.” Ruby is going on 5 weeks. Mac lasted about 3 weeks. All others last about 5 minutes. (That includes the Fluff and Tuff alligator or crocodile. I don’t remember which one. Legs seem to be a weak point.) We put Ruby on auto-renewal! We love her!

Great Christmas Present!
UPDATE: I cannot recommend this enough! This is the current state of MacII who was a Xmas present 11 months ago. Mac is Fitzy's favorite toy, and the one he goes to when he's happy and wants to play chase and the one he takes to bed with him. I can't buy him any other toy because they are a mess on our floors within days. This little Mac has lost a fin and that's it. The only other toy that's stood the test of time for us is an XL Kong Jumbler.~~~~~~~~~~~~Original review:My beautiful 65 lb. Vizsla is a toy destroyer. If we get a week out of a toy, it's considered a success. But, if the toy has a squeaker in it, fuggedaboutit. It may last a day, two tops.Mac the shark is a great size, with a squeaker, and Fitzy has blown thru one already and we're on our second. This is a strong recommendation because it's taken about six months of steady play before he gets thru it. It's a huge value because we've stopped buying other toys that last days or weeks, and now just buy one of these every six months and we're all happy.

Land Shark Approved
Mac has been with us for 24 hours and has survived, which is more than I can say about every other plush toy I have brought home for my 5 month old lab/husky mix.Plush toys are Ozzy’s favorite. He’s not an intentional stuffing puller, he just loves them too zealously too quickly and they become a glorified dish rag within a few hours. But Mac has stood up to the challenge, and is still in one complete piece (slobbery, but in one piece). I thought the fins, at very least, would have been torn by now, but they are still good. He even took it to his crate last night and brought it out with him this morning.I don’t expect it to last forever, but at $20 it’s not too much more expensive than bully sticks and has already lasted longer, so I call it a win! I’m excited to buy more of these for my lil’ (giant) pup!If your dog is one who likes to completely gut a stuffed animal and relish in the total carnage, these probably aren’t for you. If your dog just enjoys tossing them around and shaking them violently without needing to see fluff, I would defiantly give it a try.

Sharky - our longest lasting stuffed animal
We adopted my big sweet lab when he was 5, and he loves Sharky, one of his first and longest lasting stuffed animals. Sharky is a great shape for tug o' war (Sharky don't care), he's an excellent swimmer (i.e. washes well), and is a good traveler (he hasn't bitten anyone yet!). After 1.5 years (all other stuffed animals have lasted < 1 day to a week), he lost his fin. It floats around the house on it's own (perhaps aided by cats; cue Jaws music). One day Sharky and his fin will be reunited and he will have fin surgery (know any good shark surgeons??). I thought, uh oh, Sharky's fin falling off is the first step to sharkageddon but Sharky has remained with us and still has quite a bit of integrity in spite of a recent new bite in his abdomen (Buddy the lab or a fight with another shark?? waiting for lab results to answer that one...). I was somewhat horrified by the lack of info on what to do if your shark is attacked, the google seems to think that shark attack means something completely different. We have since found other Fluff & Tuff friends that co-habitate well with Sharky, including our friends Alpaca-laca, Mr. Pheasant, and Elephauntie, but Sharky is the toughest.

Cute and tough
Mac the shark is absolutely adorable, built to stand up to sharp puppy teeth, and has no little eyes that can break off and be swallowed. At 18 inches he's a decent size without being overly large for a medium sized puppy to carry. The squeaker is big and tucked under the dorsal fin making it slightly difficult for my dog to make squeak - which is totally fine with me as I really dislike the noise. My one nitpicky comment to the manufacturer would be that the direction of the fur is backwards on my shark, you have to stroke him from tail to nose rather than nose to tail.

Mac is great!
My voracious chewer and plucker of stuffies has many fluff & tuff toys. They are as durable as they are adorable. In 5 years he hasn’t managed to get the squeaker out of the first one I bought, so I don’t mind paying a little more for a great toy. I love that Mac has a shorter pile of fluff, he isn’t able to pluck the fur out.

Toy 0 - Labrador 1
I've got a Labrador and he loved it but it didn't last very long. He had chewed all the fins off within about 30 mins and pulled the stuffing out but he does still enjoy playing tug with the flat carcass!

Durable- great toy!
We have had this toy for 2 months and not only is my pups favourite toy, it’s the only one that hasn’t needed to get stitched up!

Better than some, but not great!
This toy looked super fun and quite tough when it arrived. Our 10 month old Spaniel loved it and when it was still in one piece after an hour I thought we’d finally found a toy that would last! But sadly no; when we gave it to him the next day within an hour it was destroyed and be warned, the grey fluff gets absolutely everywhere and was much harder to clean up than the stuffing.I think nearly £20 for less than two hours play is a bit steep but it’s probably a brilliant toy for less destructive doggies.
