The Little Shop of Monsters

When I saw this book on twitter, I knew I needed it. Marc Brown and R.L. Stine paired up to write a children’s picture book. YES! I loved Arthur growing up and I still read the books to my little ones and I absolutely loved Goosebumps, I mean who didn’t?I was excited to see how this book would work out and I have to say the Tiny Bookworms and I loved it. The story was pretty interactive; we made the noises and pretended to be one of the monsters. I personally loved the fact that there is a monster named Tina the Not So Ticklish Monster in the book. I am quite ticklish so it’s basically the opposite of me.The illustrations were eye-catching. I loved how the colors were almost pastel and it gave you the feel of reading an older picture book. The ones now at days are so amazingly illustrated and this one had an old school vibe to the illustrations.We really loved this picture book and I am so glad we were able to find it. We plan on reading it over and over again.

My son is obsessed with monsters and he loves this book. We had taken it out of the library so many times, that we just decided to buy it. The pictures are cute, the monsters are funny and less scary than most. Story line is about going to the little shop of monsters and choosing your own monster....only they choose you :-) Will be a hit for any little boy/girl who likes monsters.

My son originally found this book at our public library and fell in love with it, so much that we borrowed it numerous times. I bought this as one of his birthday gifts and it made him so happy. He loves the story and the artwork. He's 4 and his 5 year old brother loves it too.

My son loves this book. He enjoys that there are different types of monsters that are in a shop. He loves the illustrations and the fact that it’s kind of scary without being too scary. Written by R.L. Stein so it has a great balance of fun and gross.

I purchased this for my 6 year old son. This book is great! The creatures are really funny, gross, and amusing. The pictures/detail in this book is incredible! I bought it for my son to read, but this is not an easy book for beginner readers so some pages I have to read. It is a cute story though and really amusing. Basically there is a pet shop full of monsters, and you get an explanation of each one. For example there is a monster that is big and fury, but don't pet him because he loves to eat hands :)

This book is so clever and fun. My three kids love it. The story is so fun and the monsters are colorful. We have read it to my daughter's 2nd & 3rd grade class and they all have loved it. I purchased this for her 3rd grade teacher so she could have a copy of it in her classroom.

Such a cute book! I got 2 of them. One for my son and one for my friends son. Super fun and interactive!

This is my toddler’s favorite book and one of my favorite to read to him. I wish R. L. Stein would write more kids books. The pictures are really great too.
