Hercules Safety Glasses

These glasses really are the best glasses that are almost indestructible. For normal use, these glasses will easily last a very very long time. I bought 3 pair of these, 1st on eBay, and then 3 more pair here on amazon (2 for friends). I tested a pair out with running over them with my car (1 eBay pair). Each time the lenses popped out, which were easy to put back in. The frames lasted 6 run-overs until they broke and 1 lens bent in half, but I was able to pop it back into place. The lens got scratched and the one lens that bent in half had a crease in the middle which made viewing through it a little difficult. Had I not lost one lens (it flew into some bushes during a run-over), I could actually still where the glass as the frames were still connected, just broken around the lens area. If you're looking for a strong pair of glasses that could last a lifetime (aside from losing them), then these glasses are a great purchase. For $5 and being almost indestructible, how can that deal be beat.

These sunglasses are big but look nice and fit nice as well. They remind me of Bono's glasses he is wearing in the U2 music video to his wife Ali The Sweetest Thing. They are cheap but sturdy as well and shipped fast from where I ordered them from.

I got these after I had several pairs of Target sunglasses break. These were not only way cheaper, but claim to be indestructable. So far I'm very happy with them. I do wish they were offered with a matte frame instead of the glossy black, but for the price I won't complain. If you've suffered with cheap sunglasses that break, I'd highly recommend these inexpensive sunglasses that won't.

I like to try on my sunglasses before i buy them but for the price i thought i would give them a try. They look and feel great! The lenses and frame are built very well. I usually end up breaking my sunglasses and getting a new pair once every year or two but these will last for many years! Update 2/3/14 Still love the sunglasses! The quality, fit, and look are all great so I bought another pair!

Glasses were upside down. Sides go over your ears and then the nose part is on top! Foam cushions falling off. Super cheap.

I love these glasses. I have gone through several pairs because I lose them occasionally (they've never broken). I use them as regular sunglasses, I've traveled around the world with them, I can stuff them in a pocket or in a backpack without worrying about breaking them, I use them as safety glasses when working with machinery that requires them, and I wear them on my motorcycle. They're just all-around great. Oh, and you can't beat the price. The only thing I would prefer is if they made them photochromic--but then the price would go up drastically, I'm sure. UPDATE: I've now been purchasing these glasses for five years. I still love them, but there's three things I don't love: 1) They're bulky. I would prefer it if the folded up flatter so I could comfortably put them in a jacket pocket. 2) The lenses do scratch fairly easily. They never break, but the lenses do eventually get scratched to the point where they're unusable. 3) They're not polarized or photochromic. If these glasses were polarized it would be so much nicer! Ditto for photochromic, but that's a way more expensive expectation.

For the cost, they work for me. They fit my melon well and are comfortable. Better quality then some others I bought at the price point, and some I paid a little more. Will buy again when I need new replacements.

I have bought a couple of other pairs of wraparound sunglasses from Amazon/ebay before and gone for the very cheapest. Both times they have been ok but not really comfy and have broken after what I would consider a short time. This pair - at only a few pounds more - are far superior. They fit comfortably and there is some flex in the frame which I hope means they'll last longer. Happy to recommend. UPDATE: Just bought my second pair of these excellent sunglasses. And I'm only replacing them because my dog chewed the arms of the last pair! Great fit and comfortable. I wear them as everyday sunnies, but also as my running/cycling glasses when the weather's good. On my head, they fit quite close to the brow which keeps out the sun nicely. Really pleased with the first pair which I'm sure would still be going strong if it wasn't for Max...

I have ridden motorcycles for the last 36 years and ride predominantly with an open face helmet. I have tried many different types of protective eyewear including glasses and goggles. I bought the clear lenses for riding in the dark as I wasn't happy with my previous glasses. These proved to be excellent, with no misting and an easy fit due to the flexible arms. I have had much more expensive protection that wasn't as good as these and I thoroughly recommend them. Liked them so much that I have now bought a dark lens pair.
