Mini Table Saw

Did a lot of research before buying the saw. Bottom line you get what you pay for. I’m building dolls houses and furniture, I needed really thin cuts. As you can see in the photo you can with a bit of care and set up get really thin cuts. The thicker piece is a lollipop stick for comparison. It’s quiet, versatile and a pleasure to use. I’ve only done straight cuts so far but given the accuracy of what I’ve done, I can imagine it will do everything I want and more.You pay more for quality, but in the end it’s not expensive, it’s priceless

The rip fence only locks at one end using a thumbwheel so can easily move in use, it can also be lifted up and down at the free end by 3-4mm even when locked in place.There is an aluminium extrusion bolted to the rip fence to reach the full witdth of the table, this however makes a stepped two section rip fence, rather than just one level surface to hold work against.The mitre fence has another moveable aluminium extrusion fastened to it and the whole assembly sits on top of two washers and uses a spring loaded indent which does not give an accurate 90 degree setting, it is also well clear of the table so does not slide on the table surface and wobbles in use.The blade on mine moved forward because the shaft retainer ( a washer with a mushroom head screw to hold it in place ) fell off inside. Not very good when this happens during a cut.The blade guard is softish plastic and does not lay flush with the table and dips in use.The vacuum extraction port is restricted to a small slot inside so the extraction is really poor and leaves a lot of sawdust inside.The specifications look impressive, but in practice it is not the precise macine it is described as, and fails to live up to its promise. Just having a digital scale fitted on the fence that will not lock in place securely does not make it in anyway a precise saw.I have returned mine for a refund today for a refund.Please note that the retailer does not give a phone number so all communication is by email.
