Vivid video, easy setup, great features on both software and hardware, No H.Drive, Helpful Website, loud fan, overall a good buy
The system is well worth the listed price of under $100. It does NOT come with a hard drive. However will still work without one for live streaming the footage to your phone wherever you are throughout the world. The 19" flat screen tv I had intended to have as a 24 hour live monitor for this setup was incompatible until I adjusted the settings on the dvr using a compatible 42 inch tv. Zosi's website offers may solutions to problems that customers may have. It is very user-friendly and allows you to submit a trouble ticket if you can't find the solution on your own ( or if your too busy to search through and troubleshoot yourself). My issue of the default password not allowing me to login after I first turned on the system was handle via email and took only a few days from the time I submitted the ticket. I did find a program that could be downloaded form the website that would 'restore the system to default settings' which initially seemed to discourage me of how easy someone could reset the system once inside and cover any tracks of their involvement, but that was mainly because of my personal life and trusting full-heartedly the wrong people. I assume most people wouldn't take the time to have the program on a usb drive prior to breaking into someone's home. The 4 camera that came with the system seem very sturdy. The adjustable sliding metal shield ( like a baseball cap shields the sun and rain from our faces) is a nice touch although make sure it fits in the grooves and takes some tension to adjust it both inward and outward. One of the camera's adjustable screws that held the camera to the stand was too loose and separated from each other, however very easy to rescrew and correct the problem. Even though at the time of this review I am unable to get into the settings of my system, I was still able to view the 4 camera's on a grid pattern of my living room tv. The quality was better than expected. The night vision seems a bit too sensitive, as I fiddled with one of the cameras in doors it had continuously made the familiar "click' sound when switching to and fro night vision too much. The video feed as a result creates blind spots in coverage overed from that video feed for about 10 seconds until it automatically leveled out the contrast and such. Therefore it eliminates potential installation areas around the house I would assume. A branch that sways easily blocking out the sunrise or sunset every few seconds, if that camera was mounted pointing in that direction the feed would be painstaking to watch live. The DVR's hdmi port was very tight, it took some pressure in order to get the hdmi cord to seat properly. I tested with a second hdmi cord and same outcome. At least I know it will not easily detach itself, would make permanent placing of the dvr system a bit easier if placing in a tight, non-easily accessible spot though. ( one less cord to try and reattach if it were to unattach while placing the unit in tight place pre-attached to the wiring. Also the DVR's fan is quite loud! I suggest placing the DVR in a closet away from living area and bedroom's to prevent unwanted background noise form disturbing your movie or sleep. If a closet is far away from where you wish to have your live monitor ( assuming you wish to have on e at all after initial setup and configuration) I suggest running an HDMI cord from the DVR to your monitor. A 25 foot HDMI cord runs around $15 or a 50 foot hdmi cord around $25. The 4 100 foot cords that feed the cameras power and send the video signal to the dvr system, is an eye sore! However once thought to be a must have for those concerned with privacy utmost privacy. ( although if you hook it up to your router for live feed to your phone where ever you go in the country, I would imagine it's easier to tap into your system after bypassing your firewall vs sitting within 100 yards of your wifi camera's, trying to capture packets sent through the wifi spectrum of signals and decipher and decode the feeds to only be able to spy on you when they are within close proximity of your home.) The cables are not shielded very heavily, thus they are able to bend easier and be stuffed int he corner under the running boards a bit easier. As long as these cords are not ran through heavy traffic area under the carpet or otherwise, they should perform without a hitch. A potential downside of the 100 foot cables is the connections, the cameras themselves do NOT connect directly into the video feed of the dvr, you must connect into one of the ends of the 100 foot cord and have the opposite end plug into the box. As best I could tell the coupling is not easily detachable and/or transferable to the camera's pigtail. if a short distance is all you require from the camera you could purchase a shorter length cable or cut, splice and solder after mounting your camera and DVR if the extra wiring becomes to big of a bundle than desired if rolling it up and tucking away is not an out of sight option that is. Final thoughts: For the price, this system offers 4 durable camera's with features both mechanical and within the settings of that expected from a higher priced unit. (motion detection and specific areas of the camera video feed to ignore of movement occuring to kick start the recording option and/or notification of movement has occured. The DVR itself doesn't take up alot of room but the noise generated isn't ideal for placing in a living room or bedroom if you enjoy things to be quite. The system is capable of streaming 8 cameras in total if you choose to purchase 4 additional camera's or have 4 other cameras with the same connection capabilities already I imagine would easily integrate those cameras. Although the 100 foot cords are an eye sore when ran straight across the room, if properly tucked under carpet and ran under the running boards away form high traffic areas, it definitely is the better choice to go with than placing wireless security camera's if you are not a carpenter or electrician and skilled at tapping into electrical feeds to gain power if the place you decide to mount your wireless camera is not near an electrical outlet). The website's easy navigation and the ease at which to create a trouble ticket or search the knowledge base is probably the best added feature of this specific system.

Good Value Video Surveillance System
ZOSI DVR Security System and Cameras. Let me start by saying that the customer service is excellent. I have always gotten a friendly, helpful reply to all of my questions. I had trouble with the password setup and had to contact their help line. Anran offered a level of customer service that is hard to find these days! (Word of caution, they seem to be operating on a time zone outside of the United States, so do not expect an immediate response. I would email in the evening and have a response by the next morning.) The system itself is pretty good. I was unhappy with the long wait to get it up and going, but this was due to the problem setting up the password. I have had other systems and this seems to be just as good as the others but significantly less cost. Not much in the way of instructions, but I probably wouldn’t have read them anyway. I would look up how to get the DVR to cycle itself. My previous systems would do this automatically, but this one seems to default to just stopping when the hard drive is full. I learned this the hard way when someone vandalized my truck on Sunday and I found the hard drive was full and stopped on Friday…Very Disappointed (but not the system’s fault). The app was rather easy to setup. You scan a QR code on the unit or screen once you set up an account and then you can view your cameras from anywhere! Much easier to setup than my standalone IP camera! The image quality is pretty good. Way better than I expected from the price! Overall, a really good system for the money. It does act up and do some weird image rolling and things (see photos). Again, you really cannot expect it to perform like a thousand-dollar system. IF that is what you want, then that is what you will have to buy! One more piece of advice, if you are installing it someplace quite, make sure to buy a high quality hard drive (and I recommend the 1TB). I used an older 500Gb drive that I had from another system and it seems to be noisier than I would like for my home. It was ok for the business, but now it annoys me. Not sure how the preinstalled one sounds, but that may be a better choice, especially if you have never installed one. Install was easy, once I figured out that it mounts directly to the bottom of the unit. Good Luck!

Great system, super sharp cameras, wide coverage, excellent customer service via Facebook
This is a great alternative to other security systems that require batteries or monthly subscriptions. We purchased eight cameras to cover the interior of the house, the backyard, and the front yard. The Pros: - Cameras cover a wide range - Options for video, audio, and still camera - Record to DVR - Phone app gives peace of mind when away from home - Very sensitive motion sensors that are adjustable - Excellent night vision - Add a camera or two or three... The Cons - This is a system that has a lot of wires. We ran it through the attic then drilled holes into the ceiling of the room with the DVR so you need to be sure you know where you want the DVR set up or you'll be moving wires or drilling more holes - Getting the DVR and phone app set up and both streaming was a challenge. I had to contact customer service for help. I could not find any USA phone numbers that worked. Email customer support was slow and not helpful. Finally, I found the best help via Facebook and they got things reset and up and running. - Instructions are all online Overall, this is a really nice security system with many options to adjust to your needs. For the price, it beats out all the others that connect with wifi or batteries and by far surpasses those with monthly subscriptions. You may need to hire someone to install it depending on how handy you are or if you can crawl through the attic. It took a weekend to get everything set up and cameras mounted. Now that it is working properly we are totally thrilled with this system.

Huge Bang for the Buck!!
First off I work for a casino and install/maintain non-gaming surveillance equipment including camera's. These are not $1,000 a piece surveillance camera's, in fact I spent less 1/3 for this entire system than the price of our least expensive camera at work. With that being said, the quality of video I'm getting from this ZOSI system is 90% the quality I get from my systems at work at less than 10% of the cost (8 camera's and a storage server). Pros- Extremely easy to set up - If you follow the 1 page guide attached to the top of the DVR. There are a few settings that need tweaking such as time server, passwords etc however even without these you can power up the system, follow the on-screen setup, load the app in your smart phone, scan the on-screen QR and be watching live feed in under 10 minutes. Quality of video - I'm watching snow falling on a camera placed on my kitchen table looking through a sliding glass door and the video is smooth as silk on the monitor (choppy on the smart phone app due to buffering but that's to be expected). Motion detection - Heavy falling snow is providing the perfect environment for setting up motion detection zones and sensitivity. My little Dachshund is running around the back yard and I'm able to set the zone on that camera to pick him up and adjust the sensitivity so that when he runs through a zone it triggers the alert and records but does not trigger with the moving snow when he's in an area outside of the selected detection zone. Cons- Well I haven't found any yet but will update when I have more time on the system after being fully installed Bottom Line- For about 1/3 the price of a comparable system from a big box store (8 camera's and DVR) the quality appears to be just as good if not better and no monthly subscription or monitoring fee's for peace of mind around your home/work is priceless. Yes I would recommend this to friends and family and have just ordered 2 more systems for work to use at two off-site locations we are currently using EZVIZ equipment at and paying $10 a month per camera for storage. 4 camera's at each location X $10 a month and these ZOSI systems will pay for themselves in just a few months with a much better user interface.

ZOSI 8 Channel DVR DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY FOLKS
So far it seems to be a solid buy. I am deducting one star because it doesn't natively support wifi. I had to buy Goliton? Wireless Network Card Adapter RT3070 WIFI 150M Transmitter Receiver to get it to work, and there's apparently only two cards that work with it. From their website: Our DVR only can be compatible for RT3070 or RT5370 Wifi module. I found it on Amazon, and it was under around 15 bucks delivered, but that was kind of annoying. Other than that, the picture quality is good, the cameras mounted nicely, and it has a 1TB drive in it. UPDATE July 2019 So, these cameras are complete garbage. I am by no means a security guy, but I've set up REVOs, Swanns, etc for a company I worked for a few years ago, and even though those units are kind of cheaply made, they're head and shoulders above these ZOSI units. I have experience setting them up, setting the sensitivity, email alerts, and so on, so this is not my first rodeo with DVR units. I am not a pro, but I am no amateur either. The sensitivity setting in the ZOSI DVR is useless. I've set it from the lowest to the highest with absolutely no change in sensitivity. One of the cameras I have pointed at the back door will email me once every minute with a motion detection alert over absolutely nothing. I've tried to screen out everything but the doorknob and it still throws alerts no matter the time or day or the setting. Okay, I said to myself. I will figure the backdoor out later, I am more concerned about people walking up to my front door than anything. Guess what? Zero alerts when you walk fully in front of the camera or even when you pull your car in or out of the driveway. Nothing. Backdoor? Alerts all day folks. Same thing with all of the other cameras. False alerts or none at all, no matter what port you plug them into. Do not waste your money or time on a ZOSI product. They simply do not work for the purpose they are intended for. Do not trust this product to relay or capture any meaningful information about your home security, you'll be sadly disappointed. Big waste of money.

Should have read the description better
Didn't come with a hard drive I got one to put in it and it won't read it so I don't know..... also it's a little difficult to navigate settings and set up. The wifi I've yet to figure out but I have it on wired connection fine. It has really good picture even at night, the cameras have some weight to them and feel like good quality. It came with a good bit of wire and a USB mouse. It's my own fault I didn't read the description well enough to order it with a hard drive but the user interface is the reason for the low review for me personally.

the ZOSI system is FAR superior in everyway
I received the ZOSI 8-Channel HD-TVI 1080N/720P DVR with 1280TVL cameras system on time with 2 additional ZOSI 1000 TVL 960H 36 IR LED cameras as ordered. Installed a 500gb Western Digital hd that I pulled from a pc that was no longer being used. Formatted without any problems (about 2 minutes). EVERYTHING works above expectations! I also have a Bunker Hill system which was double the price for the garage. No comparison, the ZOSI system is FAR superior in everyway. Video quality (day & night), user interface is very simple to manage. The 4 supplied cameras are great! Color saturation, hue, contrast, clarity are all perfect in overcast lighting as well as bright sunlight. I have 2 cameras on the front of the house (residential neighborhood) and am able to see good - very good with ambient lighting (porch lights) well beyond 200ft at night. As for the 1000 TVI 1000 TVL cameras, they're ok, but no where as good as the ones that came with the package. ZOSI 8-Channel HD-TVI 1080N/720P DVR with 1280TVL cameras. At just over $ 80.00 you cannot find anything that comes close to value or performance. I will re-order ASAP!

Excelente producto de seguridad y calidad
Excelente producto!!!
