Good water pack, however the valve needs a lock
You can feel the thickness and quality of the plastic. There is no bad taste or odor, even on first use (though you should still clean it first). The hose is good quality, not super long, and protected by a mesh sleeve. The valve is interesting, you twist and pull to open it, but you can't lock it open. You have to hold it open with your teeth, and the suction pulls the valve shut. Kind of irritating, and makes it more difficult to use.The price could also be a bit lower.Still, 9/10 would recommend.

Best bladder there is!
This thing has been awesome! Firstly, they work just fine. No leaks and very durable. I ruck with a 25 lbs weight right next to it and it’s never leaked or broken in about a year. The next and probably the best part is there is no rubber flavor to it at all right from the beginning. I’ve also left water sitting in there for about a month and it tasted just fine ( gross I know). It’s also easy to clean.Overall, it’s the best bladder out there in my opinion and you should just buy it cuz you won’t regret it at all.

Perfect for 5.11 RUSH (or similar) Backpacks
This is Source's WLPS (Wide Low Profile System) hydration reservoir. After much research I found the perfect reservoir for my 5.11 RUSH backpacks. This reservoir fits all the RUSH backpacks including the RUSH 12. The Velcro loop in the top of the RUSH bags fits through the slot of the reservoir closure clip to secure it to the backpack. The QD (quick disconnect) design allows you to easily disconnect the hose and route it through the backpack and then plug it into the reservoir without any water spillage. Another advantage when using with these types of backpacks is this model does not come with a large bulky fill cap. The reservoir has a partial divider inside to prevent the reservoir from "ballooning" out. But probably the best advantage is you can fill this reservoir without removing it from the backpack by purchasing the optional UTA adapter. The quality and design are excellent. Better than other hydration systems I've used.
This hydration water system is durable and does the job. Unlike other competitors' hydration hoses, Source Tactical's secured hydration hose is not excessively long, nor does it flop around. Additionally, the entire length of the hose is insulated by the "Cool Weave" cover, while the competition's hoses are not and is made of neoprene. My experience with the neoprene hose cover is that it does not keep the water in the hose cool on hot days.Source Tactical's Widepac Low Profile bladder has no water cap to screw on, and the tethered bladder clamp easily slides off the top of the bladder to reveal a wide opening to fill with water and ice cubes, if preferred. Also, one can also detach the hose and the bladder will not leak.As an aside, I learned about this particular hydration system from a former Special Forces NCO and I'm glad I made the switch.

Simply the best.
This is the best hydration source you can buy. I’m in the military and it has survived many years of abuse. The wide opening makes cleaning a breeze.

It's like 14 inches tall btw
Well, I'll blame myself for this one. But I looked at the package description and seen - 1.9 x 9.2 x 9.2 inches - which should have fit my 5.11 MOAB 6. The whole 3 liters of volume should have been a huge flag that this would not fit, but I got it anyway. It's like 14 inches tall btw.On the bright side, the bladder is nice. The Storm valve works nice, it is my first time with this type of valve. Best part is nothing leaks and it will fit my 5.11 RUSH 72 so I don't have to send it back.

Great quality bladder
A friend recommended this and I couldn't be happier. It fit perfect in the backpack I'm running and not a single leak during a weekend of use. If you get this, also get the adapter that lets you fill it through the mouthpiece as that is a very nice option to have while wearing it. Overall very well made product and quality material, comparable to the much more expensive CamelBak options.

Best in a Crowd of Greats!
There are lots of options for backpack style water reservoirs, and I've used a lot of them. The Source Hydration is my favorite. The reservoir is easy to fill and clean. I can easily fill it with ice, for long summer events. They use some sort of magic plastic or process that keeps water fresh for extended periods of time. I've even accidentally left one about half full when placed into storage. When I pulled it out, I figured the microbes would have had a party and stunk up the reservoir. Not so. The water was fresh as the day it went in! I really only wash it when I've used electrolyte tablets in it and want to clear the taste out afterwards. The modular connector system they use gives one a nice range of options for reservoir capacity and features, hose length, bite valve style etc. It also makes it very easy to fill, even when the hose is routed through your kit/ruck. Simply disconnect the hose, remove the reservoir, fill it, replace it in your kit and reconnect the hose. I only wish the reservoir was tougher. I fell on my ruck during an endurance event and put a hole in the reservoir. Even though it was clearly my fault, Source replaced it, free, and shipped it express from Israel.
