Fun project
Enjoyed putting this one together. Instructions are fairly rudimentary, so this would be a difficult build for a beginner. The fit of parts is good and tight. There is some color variation in the grey bricks. Not terrible, but visible on some parts. Overall, great buy and shipping was super fast (tough to find these mecha on Amazon without a month-long shipping estimate).

5/5 as a display model. Less so as action figures. Would buy again. Read ahead on the instructions.
I can only give one review per group, so I will attempt to review both here; the red Lanson Man & blue Lanson Man mechs (the super tall ones, not the minifig-supported ones).Bottom line is both are amazing display pieces, but the instructions can be frustrating (the red one has step 11 in front of step 10, and was missing two 2x3 red wing plates for the backpack), and the longer weapons weigh enough to throw off the center of balance, so ultimately I left off the swords & mounted guns, and left off the backpack for the red Lanson man.------------With what I know now, I'd still make both purchases, and gladly. Both are well worth it.------------The blue - as a model made of brick pieces, it is 5 stars, a work of art, and much taller than I expected. The rifle is exquisite & I was very happy with the overall result. It has all of the pieces you need - but that's if you manage to follow the instructions properly. If you just want to display it, it's perfect. However, as an action figure, it leaves much to be desired. The connection points are the weakest link, especially the arms. The instructions (for blue) also do not itemize the pieces used in each step nor do they sufficiently disambiguate similar pieces except in a few spots - I often had to read ahead to infer what kind of piece was being added (mostly for the 1x1 bricks), and in one case, I had to work backward from the end. Finally, the included sword and mounted gauss gun are so giant that you may find yourself altering the build to reduce them both, or even just do away with them entirely. As for attaching the rifle, if you swap the figure's thumb wrench with the wider wrench that locks the hilt to the sword, you can reverse the rifle's T-connector handle and stick its end into the cavity of the larger wrench, allowing the figure to hold the rifle effectively.Final rating: 4/5------------The red Lanson man, equally impressive, has a lot more going for it, with itemized instructions, a superior color scheme, a standing base, and dual large handguns (but blue's rifle is the best). Keep an eye out for the step order number, & be sure to itemize your build beforehand. As stated earlier, the backpack was missing two 2x3 red wing plates - however it threw off the mech's center of gravity enough that I removed the backpack in favor of four angled 1x2 vent covers.Final rating: 4/5.

Awesome Mech! But I didn't receive what was pictured
I had ordered the "Fighting Man" mech suit and after putting it all together I noticed quite a few differences between my model and the one that is pictured. The one I have put together seems like a paired down version without all the cool bells and whistles that are in the actual picture.Differences in my model:No spear on right arm,No shoulder armor, the gun I have is completely different (and way less cool) than the one in the picturethe pilot figure is not the same, the harness that is shown to hold the figure in is completely different looking, many of the extra details on the body are not the same.I still really love this model, but I am very disappointed that I didn't receive what I though I was going to, Especially for paying $40

Good set!
Good set. Only reason I gave it a 4 because of the waist joint is off balance too much to the rear. After switching the hinge point to the front, and fold the back side skirts to provide leverage. It solved the backpack being to heavy. furthermore, I switched out the back skirt attachment clips to a better one. It solved the problem of back skirt falling off constantly.
