Efficiency & time it takes to shred items.
This is my 2nd Fellows shredder. The first one lasted over 20 years; through home business and 3 1/2 years of grad school. It finally sounded like an airplane engine and was not able to shred effectively - it served valiantly. This new micro-cut Fellows is a wonderful! It is almost silent, easy to use and the cuttings look like little dots in the bin. So far, it is a great buy for the price and I have come to trust the Fellows name for its reliably and product quality.

It's a beast, but be prepared to pay for it. I love it regardless.
We purchased the 20-sheet version since it wasn't that much more expensive than the smaller capacities and it gave a better feature set. It is an absolute beast. It went through a couple years worth of shredding in short time, and I never had to worry about staples or paper clips.A tip: I didn't find using a bag inside the machine to be useful. Paper shreddings still fell into the hopper outside the bag. Just fill the hopper then dump the hopper into a bag. Less mess and easier. What I like:+Capacity!! It chews up just about any amount you throw at it.+Doesn't even blink when you throw paper clips or staples in - eats them the same as anything.+Continuous operation. I never had it overheat. Used it constantly for 30 minutes, which is its rated use.+Good looking design. This is purely subjective but it is a nice looking fixture.+Hopper size. I went through 3 hopper fills with my initial purge of to-shred papers. I'd hate to think of how many I'd have gone through with a smaller bin.+Solid feature set with auto-clearing, etc.+LED indication of shredding performance - really dial in how much paper you can feed through at once.+Capacitive touch sensor across both sides of the paper feed which will stop the machine if an errant finger gets too close to the opening. This is a phenomenal feature for safety.+Super easy to set up and get goingWhat I'm indifferent on:=The noise levels are acceptable. The first time I heard it I was amazed how quiet it was, but then I guess I got used to it and it seems to make some noise. Very manageable, but it's still there which I suppose is unavoidable.=The price is what I would expect. I didn't find it especially good value nor did I find it a rip-off. It is significantly more expensive than lesser machines, but "lesser" is definitely the defining characteristic to note. If you've got the money, treat yourself to a very nice piece of kit. I used card points to buy it, which somehow made it feel less bad to spend this much money on what is essentially a luxury item for my home office. What I dislike:-Not much to dislike here. Still wish it could handle more paper at once and I didn't have to orient sheets, but those are a pretty nit-picky complaints that don't really apply at this price point. Conclusion:It's absolutely overkill for our household and work-at-home needs but it is such a wonderful luxury to have a machine that works so well. I've always had cheap old generic shredders. This is such a joy to use and I'm glad I was able to get it.

Not sure if this was a return
Love the shredder, low noise but seems slower when it shreds papers. Received with a few black marks on it and its supposed to be new. Not sure if this was a return and was repackaged as new? It does what its supposed to do so can’t really complain.

Good, not great
This shredder is good, does what it is suppose to do. Looks nice. But there is no way it will fit 20 pages. I wouldn't shred more than 10 at a time. If you are looking for it shred cardboard, get something else. It will not shred even a thin cardboard.

It’s a workhorse!
I’ve had a small shredder for many years that has worked fine for what I’ve used it for - shredding a few sheets occasionally. But I have accumulated enough paperwork over time that I now want to destroy and I’m sure my current shredder wouldn’t be up to the task. So I started shopping around, reading reviews, comparing features, etc. my conclusion: Buy the LX22M. So I did ….. and I’m not sorry! It functions exactly as advertised, has great safety items built in, does not jam (just reverse out and overload of paper - no problem), quiet operation, and has great run time especially if you’re not running the max number of sheets through it continually.I have experienced the “shreddings falling outside of the bin” issue others have mentioned but I believe I found the cause. If I let the bin fill up nearly to the top, that’s when I’ll find the excess shreddings when I slide the bin out. If I let the bin fill up so that it comes up several inches from the top, then everything seems to stay in the bin.I’ve also discovered that not all 13 gallon tall kitchen bags are the same - their sizes will differ a bit from brand to brand. The ones that are slightly small have a tough time being able to fold the top of the bag back over the top lip of the bin without ripping it. The size that works great: 2 ft. x 2 ft. 3 in. Get ones that have a drawstring - easy to knot up to keep the bag closed. Wally World carries them under their house brand name.Again, my experience with this shredder has been nothing but great!

Great office/home shredder
This thing is a beast. After years of buying cheap 4-6 page shredders I need something more, this is it!. Two boxes of documents/checkbooks and not one jam. I would highly recommend.

micro cut
I was looking for this model the size of the cut for two reasons less volume of shredded papers in the bag and for longer time of shredding

Fantastic Shredder
White LX21M here.First thing you'll notice is you get a LX210 and not a LX21M. The Powershred LX series consists of the: Fellowes Powershred LX200 LX210 LX220. On Amazon.com the LX series consists of different model numbers. These are LX20M, LX21M, and LX22M. The letter ‘M’ is short for ‘Micro-Cut’. It's the same unit, but briefly had me concerned. Of course this is done so you can't request retail stores price-match Amazon since they are "different model numbers".The unit is white, and less prestine looking than I'd hope. The individual parts clearly were handled roughly during assembly, as corners of parts that aren't exposed when assembled are imperfect. The more visible/broader surfaces are generally okay, but expect to need to take a damp cloth to the unit after getting it.Otherwise, it's quiet, fast, and works like a charm. Bag wraps around the back and sides of the bin and pull it up on the front and there's no chance of shredded material not making it into the bag. It's a bit big (about 2.5-3.0ft high) but ate through my backlog of paper effortlessly. All good!

Wow holds a ton of paper
Of course shredders never actually shred the number of papers they advertise so I would never try to shove 20 sheets in the is thing at once but wow I’ve never had (or heard of) a micro shredder before and the bin holds a ton of paper. Way more than even a cross cut shredder. If you hate emptying the paper bin all the time then definitely get this one instead of a cross cut shredder. It turns the paper into tiny confetti so a lot more of it fits in the bin. It says not to shred staples, CDs or credit cards though which is a shame.

SHREDDER BAGS NOT NEEDED!
I asked a question earlier about how to secure bags in the shredder receptacle. I ended up calling Fellowes for guidance. First, you don't even need shredder bags. Second, if you decide to use bags, there are two tabs on each side at the front of the receptacle bin (see Photo #1); take your bag and thread it through under the tab. In Photo #2, I thread the bag twice around the tab for more security. However, as the bag becomes more full, the bag will slip out of the tabs. I got two starter bags with the machine. Once the second one is used, I'll more than likely try it without. All in all, I really love the shredder (I've only been using it for two weeks). I primarily purchased it based on reputation, and I really wanted a white shredder given that all the furniture in my home office is white. Not disappointed!

Lots of shredded material ends up not going in bag.
Spent al good dollar on this machine and there is a great deal of the shredded material that does not get in bag. Each time you empty the bag you will have to clean the bottom of the machine of debris. There is also a great deal of shredded material on the side of the bag. Disappointed about this I am considering to call and see what can be done to return it.

Does the job.
I had purchased an Amazon shredder for our small office. It jammed and stopped frequently. It was an 8 sheet unit and the issues were usually during a two or more sheet thread. It still serves at one desk but this unit is far superior and has now been in use for about three weeks with no issues.
