Awesome
Have used this vice a couple of times and it is really good quality. Put it on my work bench and am happy with it. Made for light use. Good for a home owner not for rough service.

First, it is a top-notch product. Second, it is made in America!
It is well-made and has all the makings of life-long usage in my shop. I especially like the fact that while it cost a little more than the Chinese products available at Lowe's and Home Depot, it is worth it for two reasons. First, to be made in America means that someone has a job here and not abroad. Second, American-made products have, over the last 70 years, proven to be superior to those made elsewhere, with the possible exception of products made in Germany. So, thanks to Wilton - its management and its workers!

Exudes Quality
This is a very high quality vise. Arrived without damage, no paint flaking or chipping (powder coated), and no rust on bare metal areas. Jaws move smoothly. Easy to mount given template provided. Just a high quality vise in every way.

Sloppy quality
Generally crude quality. The vise clicks into detents at various angles of rotation on the base, and when locked in parallel to base hole pattern, the the vise jaws are out of alignment with hole pattern - not a functional problem, but just a sign of sloppy manufacturing.

Don't Rely on the Mask to Mount the Vise
It's a good, solid vise that should work fine in your home workshop. It certainly does what I need it to do. But BEWARE: Don't use the mask included in the manual to drill the mounting holes in your workbench -- they are not accurate. Just use the vise itself to figure out where to drill the holes. I'm glad I checked the mask against the vise before I started drilling holes . . .
