SKIL 4295-01 4.5 Amp Variable Speed Jigsaw

I’m a new woodworker, and this is turning out to be one of the most useful tools in my new shop. I bought a multi-pack of blades, and I find myself reaching for this tool for a variety of jobs that I didn’t expect. The brand is well known and reliable. The price is really great. I’m glad I bought it.

Very inexpensive, but exactly what I needed for a project. Tilts to cut at an angle (did not use, but checked while going through manual). Easy to change blade, has a wheel to keep blade from bending back, different speeds on trigger, nice and powerful. Only downside is that the small black sliding drawer under the motor for storing blades is very difficult to open (I have had to use pliers every time).

Well built, comes with quality blades. Great tool for the low price.

First time using a power tool of this kind. Small hardware shop didn’t want to budge on price, so I bought it here. Was highly pleased for it to have work as expected. As long as you have common sense and sturdy hands, you will accomplish your task in mind. I did watch a youtube video just to be safe. Also, wear eye protection (thanks to General Chemistry class labs, had transparent goggles on the ready). Oh, wear a face mask of some sort. Good luck and be safe!

This is one smooth running saw. Ran it to cut about 50 linear feet of 3/8" plywood and a 2x4. Perfect. I can't see paying more. I had a newer Black and Decker which apparently has nylon gears and I stripped the gears out in a few cuts so I thought I'd try Skil this time. I like this saw. The blade change is effortless and the speed control is smooth. Great saw.

for the money, you get a ton of value for this. Works great, gets the job done well. Get finishing blades to install, the included one is trash, but expected. Great tool for the money.

Bought this to cut 3/4" OSB and 2x4's to close in a lean to. Worked GREAT!!!! Got the whole thing done on the blade it came with. Highly recommended this jig saw!!!!

The electrical plug on the end of the cord came detached after first use. I fixed this by getting an industrial strength plug from a local hardware store and attaching to the cord. This saw has decent control and the packaged blade seems to cut 3/4 " plywood with relative ease. Safety features are not really that great so don't leave this thing out unattended.

lo compre para uso casero trabajos pequeños y perfecto pero yo lo recomendaría para algo mas con su bateria de 20 v tiene un excelente tiempo de trabajo. lo recomiendo. *como dato para algunos que cuando califican a un producto ponen si llego o no llego a tiempo en estos tiempos creo que amazon cumple perfectamente con el tiempo esperado de entrega y solo si tu vives en algun lugar apartado es cuando se pone en riego el tiempo de entrega. en fin ya no pongan eso califiquen el producto.

Simple to operate ...easy to change blades. I did simple scroll work on 1" thick select pine. Cuts were clean..smooth little feathering..mostly no sanding required. Price wise it was an excellent choice for the job at hand. Ideal for hobbies....not professional grade. I would definitely recommend.

Perfect for small projects.. doing a home reno, and have cut just about everything with this little tool. I bought a bunch of extra blades but I'm still using the one that came with the box. Can't go wrong.
