How do you know if you have the older style controller thats needs the adapter?

On the bottom of the controller their should be a headphone jack and a weird other thing that needs an adapter. If you only have that weird other thing without the headphone jack then you have the old style.

It will with a 3.5mm pc headset adapter. It is what I use and I really enjoy the headset.

Does it work well for watching applications such as netflix, as well as movies on dvd or blu-ray?

This headset looks beautiful compared to Turtle Beach which my friend recommended & sounds like a better brand name name that doesn't brake, but no fancy little video commercial or look like I want, but by these reviews I'm scared to get. I'm poor on disability & limited funds. I'm broke b4 end of the month. How long will this price be.
