Branching a fiddle leaf fig tree
When I cut the top off my tree I removed all leaves but two, I put it in water with a tsp. Per two cups water of Propagation Promoter from houseplantresourcecenter.com. And I let my trunk with 2 leaves sit in that solution for eight weeks or more. Only nubbins of routes appeared. Being frustrated I ordered from the same company their wonderful soil for fiddle leaf figs. Planted my trunk into the great soil and poured the promoter water in there. Two gorgeous leaves grew in my top of tree and the leaves are huge and very healthy as shown on my photo. I highly recommend this soil. Also I bought more and transplanted my original tree in a sea grass belly pot so my roots get better air. Thank you, Claire. She is fantastic.

Quality
My Fiddle wasnโt doing well. I replaced the soil and in two weeks time my little plant looks healthy again. It is somewhat expensive but after seeing these results I have been buying one bag of soil at a time with a goal to replace all of my plants soils. Iโm really impressed with the quality and the amount of soil. Iโm very happy to pay more for quality.

Great soil
Replanted my fiddle leaf with this potting soil, and it seems to like it. I've gotten new leaves after planting, so it took to the soil very rapidly.

Has gnat larvae
My fiddle leaf fig plants are doing very well in this soil, but I am certain that the soil had fungus gnat larvae and, since I have a lot of plants that I transplanted all with this soil before winter, we have been overrun with gnats tormenting us. It has been a plague of Biblical proportion; we find them in our drinks, in our food, and especially in the plant soil. I have used hydrogen peroxide, alcohol sprays, diatomaceous earth, peppermint oil, neem oil, commercial insect spray. I just now treated the soil with bti and placed fly sticky things all around the house. I suggest that seller try baking the soil long enough to kill all larvae and perhaps treat the soil with boric acid prior to selling this soil. It is a good product but. . . THE GNATS!!!

Beware-Fungus Gnats!
I purchased this "premium" soil to repot my healthy Fiddle Leaf tree. I'd never heard of special soil for Fiddle trees, so since I've had my tree for many years and am not expecting to repot it any time soon, I decided to give this soil a try. After purchasing such expensive, special soil I expected some exciting results! A couple weeks after repotting I started noticing gnats in the house and they'd invaded my poor tree! I've been furiously trying to figure out where they were coming from and get ahead of them- this is SO FRUSTRATING! I now understand why I have this problem, and it's because of this soil!! I have a partial bag of remaining soil that had been folded and rubber-banded shut. Today I moved that bag and noticed a couple gnats hanging around it -when I opened the bag I was crushed to see a literal gnat party in that bag -- the soil came contaminated! UGH - did I say how frustrating it is to combat fungus gnats!!!??? The properties of this soil are really nice, so if you take your chances, my recommendation is to sterilize this soil in the microwave before you use it to confirm there's no extra special additives you don't want. I'm rating the value of this product low because I've spent about as much money trying to combat the gnats as I did to purchase this soil.

Worth the Price
Just repotted my fiddle Pamela in this soil. It is kind of expensive, but right away you can tell that it is good quality stuff. I watered Pam and immediately you can see how well this soil drains. I couldn't believe it. Definitely recommend for any fiddle leaf parent. ๐๐ UPDATE: Since I repotted, my FLF has pushed out 3 new healthy leaves and looks better than ever! I'm a huge fan of this potting soil! Its a MUST HAVE.

My FLF is happy again!
This soil and the fiddle leaf fig food from the same company brought my little FLF back from the brink of death. It was losing leaves, turning brown, and not growing in spite of being in "good" houseplant soil and getting the right amount of water and light. It has bounced back, retained leaves, and started growing new leaves. Get this stuff and the FLF food and start babying your fussy little FLFs! Don't be dumb like me and think the basic stuff is "good enough." It isn't.
