Nite Ize S-Biner MicroLock Stainless Steel - S-Biner with Locking Dual Sided Gates - Keep Keys Secure with Carabiner Key Holder - Black (2 Pack)

These are very handy little carabiner clips. I initially purchased a set of two Size #1 S-Biners as part of several different items I wanted to try out along with several other products in my search for the most suitable combination of rings and clips to organize my keys, and I've since added a selection of these S-Biners for various uses. What I've learned is that Nite Ize produces these S-Biners in various sizes and materials and finishes, each suitable for certain purposes. They're all well made, and in my opinion they are all a good value. I particularly like the locking models that are also available, both this small MicroLock size, and the larger SlideLock(see the models at the bottom of the listing below). This locking style S-Biner is particularly useful since it reduces the chance that something attached using this clip will become accidentally released, which is something I've had happen when using the non-locking style slip. This particular locking S-Biner is only available in the very small size, so for someone who wants the locking feature then the other locking style should also be considered since it's available in two larger sizes. After going through a mini research project of my own in order to both determine the relevant dimensions of the various sizes, as well as find the best listings for them on Amazon, here is a guide to simplify this process for others. IMPORTANT NOTES: - I've done my best to determine representative listings here on Amazon for each of these models. Please keep in mind that these are sold by a variety of sellers here, there are multiple listings for the various different sizes and finishes, and the listings are not always well described such that you can be sure that you'll receive the correct size listed. - The prices also vary widely and from my own observations of the various listings here on Amazon, the best prices are usually for the Amazon 'Add-on Item' listings. The size and weight ratings for the plastic models are comparable to the metal S-Biner's. Nite Ize has a very broad product line of hardware products, and it's helpful to go to their own website in order to get the best descriptions of their products as well as representative MSRP pricing, before making final purchasing decisions here on Amazon.

I love these things. And they also seem like a good deal, compared to all the other carabiner-type things I have had occasion to buy. The first thing to understand is that the length of these, longways, is barely longer than a regular-sized keyring. They are also as thin as could reasonably be imagined, so they don't create overmuch clunkiness on a keyring. The lock is a bonus, which adds value if you are securing an item you are afraid of losing. This is excellent for an item you both need to be ring-free--easily--and able to be detached, with carabiner, from the keyring for securing to something else. The little o-light mini in the attached picture is an example. Most of the time I'm detaching it with the carabiner. But in order to charge this particular light, I have to remove it from the carabiner so it can be plugged in. This makes that much more effortless than going through the keyring removal process. All in all, I can imagine many application for this little carabiner s-ring, and I would highly recommend it for anything else you can dream up.

These are sturdy and secure s-biners. They are a good size to hold my keys. They are easy to lock and unlock. Great value for the money!

It's obvious from the user photos and product description - both of which I should have paid more attention to before ordering — but these are really, really tiny. Given their size, they're most useful for things like attaching keys to a ring, but not so useful for, say, securing zippers on backpacks or packed luggage, which is the main use I bought them for. Because of their size, the locking mechanism is very difficult to operate if you have normal adult size hands — or maybe my hands just happen to be too big to operate them comfortably? I'm still going to keep them since I'm sure I'll find a use for them somehow, and NiteIze always makes durable, high quality products. But I'll probably look for a larger size locking caribiner for my purposes — and will definitely pay more attention to the product description and user reviews next time!

These are great little carabiners. We've bought the brand before and they are so useful and versatile. Small, so they fit a lot of places, the little lock on the side is great for securing whatever you're using it for, double carabiner so you can put things on both sides (and organize what is on each side). Easy to use, durable, just a great tool! I got these for stocking stuffers for all my kids (they are older kids so use keys, etc.).

These carabineers are so tiny and exactly what I needed for my new headphones case. I love that they have a lock, so it doesn't just open randomly.

I use this product as a way to attach keys that I normally use together, but sometimes need to separate, such as my house and car keys. A normal keychain is a hassle to separate if you’re in a hurry. A normal carabiner has a tendency to pop open in my pocket, so that keys become detached when I don’t want them to. The twist lock on this device is stiff enough to stay in place once it is set, even when keys are in a pocket, handbag, anything else that jostles them or puts pressure on the flip latches. It is also small, which is a good thing (unless you’re a fan of having keys falling out of your pocket or like to use your keychain as a dumbbell). The lock is also not too hard to twist to disengage or relock. Most adults should be able to manage it without any difficulty. That being said, it’s not easy to pop out of or into the locked position, so a youngish child cannot open this (my daughter couldn’t get these open before age 11 or so), but that’s likely a plus for most people. However, any adults with significantly less than normal hand strength or with hand mobility difficulties, like arthritis, would probably find this too hard to manipulate and might need to use something different. Overall, I love these things. They’re worth the price and last forever (I’ve had some for years).

It’s small and compact and does a decent job of locking it. Although the build quality seems only OK and with enough force it may break or bend.

It’s a bit on the pricey side for such an item, but there’s no denying the practicality, quality, durability and versatility of these micro S-biners by NiteIze. These are a more affordable and practical solution compared to magnetic attachment options. Great for clipping all sorts of things together like keys, zipper pulls, lanyards, etc. I don’t find the locking mechanism super necessary for my needs, but this feature does offer extra security when needed. It’s just a genuinely good product.

These are so secure and even have a lock to prevent them coming open. Nice and small for what I wanted.
