The machine makes great coffee, and all of the other supplies are huge perks for the price! The porcelain spoons broke in the mail, and the seller sent us new ones! I could not be happier with this purchase.

I did a lot of online research before purchasing this. This coffee maker makes the BEST tasting coffee I have ever had. Hands down. I love the fact that there are no bells or whistles. The stainless steel carafe keeps coffee hot for at least an hour. I can brew 1 cup or 8 and the coffee tastes the same each time. It is a higher priced coffee maker but less than some off the coffee makers out there. I did purchase a reusable filter for it rather than using paper coffee filters.If you choose this coffee maker you won't be sorry!

I would really give it 4.5 stars, if possible. The main things about this coffee maker are:a) one should use paper filters, vice the metal mesh (paper filters do a better job of keeping coffee grounds "dust" from going into the cup and forming a sludge at the bottom of the cup and pot);b) I wish that the coffee maker would make more than 40 oz of coffee at a time (I use 20oz thermal mugs as does my wife and the kids still at home so we end up making two to three pots in close succession).Otherwise it is awesome. The coffee is very smooth and rich (it helps to use freshly roasted coffee and grind it just before making a pot).
