This is a good sturdy bucket, and I ended up using it to hang under the filter system for my water filtering system for my house. I have a cotton filter that needs to be replaced every 3 to 4 months and hanging this bucket underneath saves a lot of mess because it is the right size to handle taking out the filter.

I made the mistake of thinking this was the more rugged 14qt RM gray bucket. That's on me. This one is not as thick, rugged nor is the handle. I hope it holds up to its intended purpose. I it Rubbermaid, but I was shocked at how expensive they are nowadays. I don't remember if they'd always been this expensive.The big problem with this order was the third party seller, and of course I did not consider it in my product rating here. That's somewhat on me, too, for not checking the horrendous feedback on the company. You could wonder how they would even be allowed to sell in this marketplace with the number and seriousness of the complaints.

This bucket is okay. It will do fine for lighter stuff. But if you need a heavy duty bucket for heavy things or tough jobs, you might want a different type of bucket.

Most of these dirt traps are around 12 inches in diameter. However, the bottom diameters of standard-sized buckets like this one usually taper down closer to 9 inches or so at the bottom. After a really long search on Amazon, I found a 9.25 inch diameter dirt trap by the Pro-Elite brand.
