My kid loves it and it doesn't suck!
My one year old daughter LOVES this book and has loved it since she was about 4-5 months old. We had a hard cover version that she was in the process of loving to the point of destruction, so we are very happy that there is now a board book version. The story is fun to read for parents, too, as the central conflict of the story reflects the experience of having an energetic kid who wants to play when you're tired. I don't mind reciting it on repeat like I do for some other books she has. The illustrations are cute and the characters are charming. There is a little mouse on most of the pages, which is also fun for kids who are familiar with Good Night Moon.

Short, sweet, cute
My 6 month old LOVES this book. We read it to hear for every nap and it always leaves a smile on her face. It's perfect for a younger baby, it's short and sweet.

My 1-year old son loves this book.
We have a 14-year old gray cat that my 1-year old son is obsessed with (unfortunately the cat does not feel the same). The cat in this book reminds him of our cat and he loves it so much, he kisses every page. Very cute board book, not too long to read to a baby. Definitely recommend.

Perfect for baby or toddlers that love cats.
My 11 month old granddaughters Favorite book. Her first word is Kih-kah For kitty cat. If you have a baby that loves cats get this! Daughter said they read it at least 30 times the first day, that’s how obsessed she is w this cute book. So glad I found this book, it was a huge hit.

tiny meowing humans obsessed to the point of aggression
My 15 month twins have a ton of books but this is the favorite. I am brought this book 20 times a day with tiny humans screaming "booh booh" (book) "ree ree" (read) and then they just meow at every page. I've also been hit in the face with this book a number of times so far with demands to read, and tiny human fights have occurred over this book. I guess cats are really exciting.

Very much meant for cat lovers
This is...so accurate to what cats are like, actually. The ending especially.Undoubtedly, this book is meant for cat families. As a picture book for general audiences, it's not all that interesting. The story is sparse, and while it does encourage a few laughs, it's not a master work. But, if you have cats, it's pretty delightful. I especially love when artists include a small "hidden" element in each page, as Yuly does with a mouse. I put quotes around the word because the mouse is very easy to find on each page, since the artwork is already very simple, with nothing like shading or small details to muddle up the view. Despite being obvious to most adults, little kids will have fun finding the mouse as you go through the story. This book is mainly good for a library borrowing, to me. You'd have to have a very enthusiastic child to justify purchasing it for a private household. As for gifts, I think there are many better options out there to give to someone.
