Unconventional but beautiful
This is book 3 in the Hades Hangman series revolving around Maddie and Flame. I knew, I knew going in that some bad things had to have to Flame for him to be this way. I thought I was prepared. I had 2 other books filled with trauma that I figured I was good; I was ready. I was wrong. If book 1 and 2 broke me, this book freaking shattered my very existence. The sheer ferocity I felt while reading this is unmatched. I felt unhinged while lost in Flames past. I wanted to destroy everyone involved. I wanted to break things. I wanted to burn things. What he does to his body to purge his demons breaks me every time. But it never fully works, they never truly leave and thus he’s living the same nightmare over and over and over again. I wanted to reach into the story and hug a man that can’t be touched. I cried for this poor broken man that lived through atrocious things and survived, he survived.Maddie was absolute perfection. Her calm nature and ability to see through to the person that Flame is, not just the outside that everyone sees but the man underneath will break your heart. She too has lived through so much agony and trauma that she felt she was broken beyond repair, but she’s not, they did not break her. Her strength and resilience not only at the commune but when Flame was lost to his demons was unparalleled. They were made for each other. They are two halves to a broken and battered soul. They break together. They heal together. They are Flame and Maddie. These two soared to the top of my favorites in this series. The love and patience between them were at times almost too much to bear. It was intimate and raw. It was gritty and emotive. IT WAS EVERYTHING.I will never be the same after reading this. This book changed me fundamentally. This story is dark it’s at times very hard to read, but it’s necessary. It shows the darkness in this world, the depth and depravity that surrounds us. But it shows the light as well, it shows that through that darkness there can be happiness. It shows the power of survival and the strength that true love has on one’s soul. It ripped me apart page by page, but then it stitched me back together piece by piece but while it did a part of this story embedded itself within. I will never not think about this book and the feelings it elicited.

Loved and adored Flame and Maddie!
Ever since stumbling upon my first Tillie Cole book (Raze) I’ve been hooked. I love her writing style and her balls to the wall, take no prisoners and make no apologies style when it comes to the topics she tackles in this series. And in Souls Unfractured she brings that same brutal honesty and ratcheted it up a few notches. I was hooked from the first page, had a difficult time putting it down, and after everything was said and done I find that I am truly addicted to this series and that I absolutely.LOVED and ADORED Flame and Maddie! Talk about all the feels (a term I don’t use often) and more.Flame has always intrigued and scared me, which when you get right down to it makes perfect sense because most tend to be fascinated by that which scares them just a little, so I couldn’t wait to find out just what was going on behind the crazy and boy what a story he has. As heartbreaking as it was to learn about what he went through, it was also quite fascinating, odd word to use, but it was. Finding out the origin of his name, why he cuts himself and learning how his mind works was all done beautifully and made perfect sense. I had a few questions answered, especially when it came to his tattoos and piercings and really liked the fact that a label was never actually given to the way his mind works because in this world there would be one and it wouldn’t matter because Flame is simply Flame.Maddie totally surprised me. The evolution of the Maddie that we first meet in It Ain’t Me, Babe to the Maddie in Souls Unfractured was great to be apart of. The timid girl with bursts of knowledge morphed into a woman who trusted her gut and wouldn’t let anyone dissuade her from her chosen course, especially when it came to Flame. This isn’t to say that she turned into Beauty or Lettie overnight, not even close, but she showed a quiet, determined kind of strength, even when she was unsure of how things would work out. The strange connection between Flame and Maddie was shown throughout Heart Recaptured and I honestly couldn’t figure out how Ms. Cole was going to get the Psycho extraordinaire and probably the most damaged of the Cursed together, but she did it and it was perfect! She was able to find a way to bring two broken, damaged souls together in such a way that there was no denying that they were meant to be together. The way that they both worked through their doubts and insecurities to understand why they felt this pull towards each other and the desire to want that connection was, for lack of a better word, sweet. Maddie fought for his heart and soul and Flame fought to keep her safe. Then we have The Order. I seriously cringe every time these bastards appear in the story, but what happens to them in this one has me wanting more of them. Kinda sick and crazy I know, but I can’t help it and I’m still on the damn fence when it comes to Rider/Cain. I totally wanted to write him off after Heart Recaptured but then he goes and does something to change my mind in this one (Thank GOD his book is next). But thankfully The Order is balanced out by the rest of the Hades Hangmen and I adored AK and Viking in this one. Some of the ‘sweet’ moments, as well as funny ones, involved these two and to find out just how deep their loyalty to Flame is has me praying that they get their own books down the road because these two deserve their own special HEA, though the woman that takes on Viking will have to be almost as crazy as him. The Bottom Line: Souls Unfractured is an intense, extreme, disturbing, heartbreaking and sweet book rolled into one nice little package which makes for a story that is difficult to put down and even harder to forget.~ ARC received from the author via Have Book Will Read in exchange for an honest review ~

4.5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟 For me
PLEASE READ TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE READING THIS BOOKI really enjoyed reading it, the characters and their stories are so crude and harsh that truly surrounds you with what it’s happening and what happened to them. The way the author manages the past and present its soo well done. Love the way this two really understood each other and their necessities. I love this story and if everything that has in them. The cult religion that is mentioned it’s just the amount needed and more so because I’m my personal opinion in the other books before was the hole story, this one didn’t need that much and that is why I like it soo much. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone that liked the two books in the series before this one BUT PLEASE READ WITH CAUTION.

My favourite one yet
I couldn’t wait to read Flame and Maddie’s story and it was heartbreakingly worth it. So beautifully heartbreaking I can’t even put into words. It was such a hard and disturbing read but the author Tillie Cole made it all come together beautifully.

Beautifull
I absolute love this book, wauw I've read this 3 weeks ago and I'm still thinking of Flame & Maddie. This book is so raw and emotional, so much trauma but so much love and understanding... This is absolute my favorite book all times !From book 1 of this series I was very triggered by Flame, I wanted to know his background and his story because he was such a lost soul in all the books. Now I finally read his story, and I LOVE HIM.

Flame and Maddie
Umm...what the heck was that? Cutting onions up in here, especially with that incredibly beautiful sketch at the end. I'm so glad Flame found his Maddie and Maddie found peace and love after such horrendous abuse. I'm amping up to read Cain's story but I'm still super salty that he set up Pit and how he betrayed his brothers. I'm all for a redemption story but his will be tough!
