Replacement Rubber Tip

Needed a new cane tip for a vintage snake walking stick found in an estate sale. These fit perfectly and seem so sturdy. Gives the cane great balance and stability. Plus I have an extra one when needed! Great product!

Great replacement for my Canex cane on which the rubber tip wore through. So far seems durable enough. Primary failure was the can pushed through the rubber. This replacement has a metal washer at the bottom which should mitigate that. The exterior diameter at the bottom is a little larger, which seems to make it a touch more stable.

I really like these DMI cane tips. They're well made. Solid firm rubber. The base that strikes the ground is slightly larger than your average cane tips. (about 1/4in) Makes for a more secure footing. Also note I do wear these tips quickly. About every 6 months. But I'm also applying most of my body weight to my cane as I walk. These DMI tips last much longer than any other tips I've tried. And I've tried them all. Wish I had all the money I've waisted on other tips that were lucky to last me a month.

If you look at all my reviews, you'll see I often rate products with 5 stars, which may make my reviews appear superficial or not well thought-out. Please be assured that because I do a lot of research for everything I buy on Amazon, I am rarely disappointed. This cane tip is no exception. I bought my cane on Amazon over a year ago, love it, and use is daily. But its tip had become dangerously worn, like a bald tire. Once I realized how worn the tip was, I wanted a new tip right away so I went to CVS and bought one off an end-of-aisle display. BAD idea! The tip from CVS made my cane feel squishy as it hit the ground --- I did not feel at all secure as I walked. So ... I did what I should have done in the first place ... some online research, followed by a return to Amazon.com where I found this 2-pack of tips, made by the same manufacturer that made my cane. As soon as the Duro-Med tips arrived (2-DAYS!), I put one on my cane and it became reassuringly stable. The Duro-Med tip is weighted and works wonderfully ... once again I feel secure as I walk with my cane.

Rugged, do their job well.Turns out that the opening is slightly too small for my cane. I should have gotten one size up. However, I soaked the items in sub-boiling water for about ten minutes. They slipped on fine after that. Once at room temperature they were immobile. A good thing for cane tips.
