I wish I could give a positive review for Skar Audio under-seat subwoofer or under-seat subwoofers in general. I mean what's not to like, they are small, pack decent power, come with most accessories for installation and in theory offer decent bass. So whats wrong? Well these subwoofers will always leave you wanting a little bit more. Turning the gains up, would just leave to distortion. While they do fill the mid-bass quite well, easy to hide, but no matter how much I wanted them to work, it just leaves you disappointed.Coming to the Skar subwoofer, well unlike other vendors, this doesn't come with an amplifier kit (power cable, ground cable etc). The quality is very basic but the price is very premium end of undersea subwoofers. While it states 150w RMS, I feel the subwoofer distorts quite a lot at anything over 1/2 gains.Pros:- Compact- Choice of RCA and speaker level inputsCons:- Doesn't come with installation accessories like competitors- The bass is muddy, this is more for mid bass- Lacks the punch, no rear view mirror shaking, no kick- Leaves you wanting for more- Looks basic and cheap unlike some Kenwood, JBL, Pioneers that look new and fresh

Started off very satisfied with it. Decent sound and bass. Only had it in a bout two weeks and it’s in a car that we don’t drive much or far. Today had the volume up to hear over the road noise on the freeway in tue Jeep. It wasn’t crazy loud but it was the longest the speaker and amp have been used in one drive. Suddenly about 30 mins into my drive home the amp and sub cut out. Not sure why...I assume it got too hot because it felt hot when I touched it. I’ll check it out later but very disappointed that it cut out after only two weeks. But I guess you get what you pay for... if it doesn’t work anymore at all I’ll update to 1 star and zero stars if I could. I hope I don’t have to go run a separate amp and sub setup from a more established brand. If it does work again I still may just sell it and upgrade to something better.

Upon receiving this item it was just the amp/speaker. I did not receive the bass knob or any of the pictures installation accessories!!!!

Running it on a 12V+ DC HP laptop charger that runs it very well at home & It does the job. I don’t gotta car at the moment so I used a setup for my PC to run my music on by phone or laptop. Although you need to tune it to get the best sound available it still hits hard. idk why the fuse says 10A when it gives 20A. I’ll swap it out for better performance. It hits hard for a 8” shallow so I recommend. I hope In the future they can add a bass radiator to increase bass output because it can play more accurate bass.
