So i have an odd drain, with no stopper or anything it's just a hole, the pipe inside makes a near immediate 90* turn, so my option for stoppers was a flap plug, or something like this.I decided to give it a try, as my son uses the tub for baths, and I shed a ton of hair when I shower.there are several rubber seal options so it can fit a variety of different drains, I seem to need the smallest one to fit in my own drain.I had to give it only 3/5 because although it DOES work, it had a few design issues i dislike, firstly, when it isn't plugging the drain it sits as a bowl... a bowl that catches and retains water.. which in the shower, is gross grey water I don't want just sitting there, this also allows deposits to build up in it over time if I don't poke it with my toe after every shower to let the water drain off it. secondly, it clogs up real quick.and third, with my tub at least, the spigot hits it when filling the tub, either causing water to spray everywhere like a sink hitting a spoon, or more often than not, simply pushing it down and plugging the drain. a minor annoyance if i'm just quickly using the tap for something and don't want to pull the thing out.it does catch hair pretty well however, and the seal prevents it from falling too far into my drain like my prior hair catcher did. but half way into my shower it's now plugging the drain as it's already clogged.and it DOES mostly plug the water for my son's bath's.. far better than the undersized plastic stopper we originally had with this tub.I give it a solid 3/5 stars for doing what it is trying to do... however I think I'll just end up getting a rubber flap plug for the bath times instead of this thing. My old hair catcher didn't clog up as fast, so I guess I'll be getting another one of those instead.

It fits right in the drain and you only need to lift it to extract all the hair that’s stuck. Water flows right in. I’m glad I purchased this product. It’s exactly what I need in a house with three ladies with long hair.

I was a little dubious, but this device seemed like it would fill our need for a stopper that also catches hair. After a couple days of rigorous use, I'm happy to report that this little thing is great.We have five kids and a longhaired dog, and this does exactly what it claims--it consistently and easily formed a great seal that allowed us to fill the tub for bathing, and we couldn't believe how much hair the hair stopper was catching. I second the advice in other reviews to clean after each use, this thing really does catch a lot!I don't know how durable it will prove to be, but it's exactly what we needed and it works great so far.

I have an old cast iron claw foot tub and it's really hard to find catchers that will fit the drain properly. This one fits perfect! It's also really sturdy and easy to clean. I had one of those rubber type ones before and it was horrible, it didn't fit right, got slimy, and was hard to clean. Overall, this is a great product and I really like it!There are a couple cons, at least to me.1. When the rubber "seal" part is flipped up (the open position that allows water to drain), it holds some water in the formed cup shape. Because of the design, there really isn't any way around it, but it is a minor inconvience to drain that after each shower.2. This issue could very well be my old tub, but when flipped down to the closed position, it doesn't seal tight and so you could never fill the tub as water would slowly drain away. This isn't a huge issue to me as we really only use the shower and hardly ever need to fill the tub.

I really like this. Fit well in our bathtub and even would have fit bathroom sink.Pros: easy to install, easy to use, easy to clean, stays looking good, works perfectly to hold water, unless a kid kicks itCons: apparently you have to be a rocket scientist to work it. A local woman, her 13 year old daughter, and our 61 year old Male roommate would use the shower and could not figure out how to lift the edge of the plug so it would drain water or how to simply lift it up and pull their 8 feet of hair off of it. Apparently my 36 year old daughter, my 4, 6, and 10 year old grandsons are rocket scientists, along with myself. I know the cons SOUND funny but I am 100% serious.Anyhow I would definitely recommend this product. It is so easy to use and works perfectly. Unless you have people around you like I do.

Omg this is awesome!! We've had so many problems with clogged tub. Tried everything. Nothing worked. Got that tub shroom thing didn't even sit in the drain right. Looked for better option and came across this. Came quickly put it in fits like a charm and totally blocks the hair. Nothing but water can go in the drain even jewelry. The rubber ring closes off the opening of the drain only water flows through it. Also has different size rings included which is great if your pipes are different sized. And on top of that the top flips down as a tub stop which my son who loves playing in the tub thought it was so awesome! I agree!! Definitely a great buy!!

It fits snuggly into the tub, and has a tight fitting silicone top that goes flush with the tub when it's being filled. It also has a strainer looking center that is excellent at collecting hair or random shower debris. This stop works well and is easy to clean with a quick rinse and paper towel.
