Outdoor/Indoor thermometre
Received on time. Excellent package. And after searching many reviews i was lucky to order this excellent thermometer. At first i tried the batteries, but unfortunately it was too dark to read unless you come close. I switched to the power plug provided and it was a complete different story. It is like lighting the Christmas tree. It should be called the Christmas tree. It is beautiful, practical, well made. I don't have any regret. In fact i highly recommand it. It is worth every penny. The long term is unknown.I should mention however a strange thing. That the day start to show the next day in the afternoon. By that i mean when it is Monday in the morning , it start to show Tuesday in the Middle of afternoon. I did not call the company for an explàation and i will be happy if someone can answer this bizarre change,

Beautiful. Easy to set up. Works well.
I set the entire device without ever looking at the instructions. There is a hi / lo alert for indoor and outdoor, for both temp and humidity. So count 8 alerts.I wish it had a better stand for desktop vertical. It will stand up, but easily knocked over. If you stand it where it will not easily be disturbed, then it will stand just fine. There is a wall mount function. The display has dimming manually or auto dimming and the colors are very nice. It's easy to read the display from a distance. The display unit runs on a wall plug. They call the remote unit the "Outdoor", but I use it to monitor a travel trailer. The temperature updates about once per minute. If you are looking for an indoor with a single remote sensor, this is a very good choice.

Fine...but not as nice as the previous model (w/o humidity sensor)
I bought this to replace my previous LaCrosse weather station that had 4 data points: indoor and outdoor temperature, day and time. I loved the simplicity. It recently died. They don't make that model anymore. This is the closest...almost the same, but with added humidity readings for outdoor and in. Besides the fact that this clutters up the display...the readings are totally bogus. We are experiencing unusually low humidity in my region right now (as reported on the weather forecast)...and my station is reading 77%. I have no way of checking, but the indoor humidity readings seems random as well. The temperature sensors appear to be accurate. Why add a new feature that distracts visually...and doesn't work? One great feature of my old one and this one is the ability to adjust the brightness of the display. Others I have used are either very bright or off.

Great Unit
Display is very bright and easy to read. Appears to be very accurate.

Consistent Excellence
I’ve used LaCrosse products for many years. They’ve always worked well and have lasted a long time. The only reason I replaced the one I had was that it wouldn’t display the year 2024 (it stopped a couple of years ago). The one I had was battery powered, which was acceptable, but this one uses an external power supply, which is even better. I expect to rely on it for a number of years. My previous unit had a monochrome display, but this one has a color display, which is another bonus. The only downside is that it doesn’t set the time from WWV, but I can live with that.

This monitor has large colorful numbers! Easy to read from across a room.
We have had an indoor/outdoor thermometer for over a decade. This model displays easily read temperature and humidity for outside and inside. This model is larger than many units. Hubby and I are weather fanatics. We love being able to get this data in real-time. This is the best thermometer we have ever owned.

A few faults, but overall, very good, so far.
The unit has great displays for the indoor and outdoor temp and humidity as well as the day of the week, time and date. Thought I had a problem and started a return because the outdoor temp and humidity would not always show. Eventually I found that if the indoor unit was simply turned a different direction, it could consistently pick up the signal from the outdoor remote. The other problem is my just discarded old indoor Lacrosse Tech unit was hung on the wall near the front door (as well as a second indoor unit upstairs in the MBR bathroom) and I would be able to walk by and view the displays, using only batteries in the units. Unfortunately, this new unit requires them to be plugged into a power source to present readable displays. With only batteries in the units, they go into sleep mode and to actually read the displays one has to press a button the side of the unit to temporarily brighten up the display. Very not user friendly. My simple suggestion is, if you want something that provides great information and graphics which will need to be plugged in to maximize its usefulness, but you are fine with that, this unit will certainly work for you.On the other hand, if you don't have an electrical plug near where you'd prefer to have the indoor unit reside, and are relying solely on the battery functionality, you may want to research further the options available.

Okay, But Not Great
I do recommend this, but I think it deserves only four stars. The pluses are ease of setup, backup batteries and accuracy. The minuses are the display backlight and slowness of indicating temperature change. The backlight has four levels that is probably a plus, for some, but I find that the higher level, 4, is not bright enough to read the orange led lit indoors temperature and humidity easily. It’s quite readable in the dark While not critical, temperature changes are slow. I suspect that is caused by the sensor case adjusting to the change. It has an alert setting that I haven’t installed.I would recommend it also because it takes up only about four inches of surface space.
