ULTRA QUIET
This little compressor is amazing. I specifically searched for a quiet compressor and this had amazing reviews but you just never know until you start it up. It is BY FAR the quietest compressor I’ve ever heard. Virtually silent in comparison to standard compressors. Absolutely amazing buy.

6 months and it quit.
6 months of very light duty and it no worky any more. I have a couple motorcycles and a car and a truck and use it to keep tires at correct pressure. today I was topping up air in my truck and it just up and quit. I think the warranty is 1 year but service center is 177 miles away. It's sunday I'll call them tomorrow and see if there is anything I can do about it besides leaving this review.update.. called Makita, product has 1 year warranty and Makita sent me a shipping label to send to service center (on them)! I wasn't expecting that. Thank-you!update #2 before I boxed it I plugged it in just because and it works now so I upgraded my review to 5 starts for now. time will tell.

Three years later....
Over worked for three years. It finally burned up due to my abusive behavior. Determined that I really need a bigger unit even though my arthritic back disagrees with me. I'll find something with an aluminum tank even though I know it won't last.

A great little compressor and not even that loud so we can have it running in the lab.

IT WILL FAIL on you, it's only of matter of WHEN.
I owned the MAC 100Q compressor for 3 1/2 years now and have been quite happy with it, I bought it for installing moldings when I install cabinets, it's gotten very light use. Recently I was on a job and the pump took forever to top out and shut off, this got worse to the point it would run but not pressurize over 60psi, never turning off, The pump is clearly leaking internally, most likely from inferior seals.. The pros to this compressor is it's quiet, light weight and won't tip over, but what good is all that if it doesn't work? WARNING to others considering buying this, IT WILL FAIL on you, it's only of matter of WHEN.

Very quiet.
I actually love this little compressor. It's a bit heavier than my Senco but actually a bit quieter. It would be a full 5 stars if hose fitting hadn't rusted itself open after just a few weeks and I had to replace it with a new brass fitting. Seems like a no brainer to use a rust resistant fitting on a device that compresses air and moisture inside. Minus 1 star!
