Ues a working USB to Serial
I was having issues with my trendnet USB->Serial based on the prolific chip set on my mac. It would just stop transmitting and then it would resume much later. This one seem to work right off the bat once I installed the driver on my mac. My only compaint was the the driver came on one of those mini CDs which my external cd/dvd reader didn't want to insert it. So I went online and downloaded the driver from Gearmo.

Works well.
Installed on Linux machine. No driver issues. Recognized and initialized without hassle. It has LED indicators for TX, RX, DCD, DTR, etc, gives me a visual indication of data flow...no guessing as to whether it's working. It has been installed for over a year without missing a single packet.

Works just fine to adapt to db9 serial port
Didn’t need any special software to work with windows 11. It has the newer chipset in it that can work with the new windows versions

ensure FTDI driver is loaded for rtscts flow control on Linux host.
I really like the tty line led indicators however, unlike my ancient Belkin dongle ,this one does not appear to pass the CTS signal back to host resulting in overrun. This may be specific to Linux as I have not tried it with Windows.EDIT: Updated to current Linux providing FTDI driver. rtscts flow control now works well.Summary: Very nice usb-rs232 adapter with LED status indicators.
