The first thing I noticed when I open the cardboard box from Amazon was the stench of fish that was disgusting. It definitely was disgusting and I would recommend throwing the box out and sanitizing the cord and throwing the pad and the little bag it comes with in the washer right away. It took me a bit to take the cord off but I figured it out you have to hold the pad portion of the plastics height and then pull the cord out and it came out nicely and the instructions say it’s machine washable so I machine washed it and let it soak for a while because the stench was so bad. After I got over the stench and had it soaking had a dry overnight I was able to finally use the heating pad for the first time. It does what it says it does and it has three heat settings and it plugs into a regular outlet no usb stuff. To me I have a lot of pain so the heat for me was not enough, the highest setting I wish was hotter but I’m also a special case. I gave it four stars because of the stench of fish I have no idea why that is needed but another reviewer mentioned it as well and due to the heat not up to my liking. It is nice in size and super fluffy and is a great relaxer type heating pad. If you’re looking for hot heat for gas like I’m using a normal heating pad for probably not this one.Update: I contacted owner and they sent me a replacement and there was zero fish smell. I washed it the same and the pad does get hotter then the last. This second pad works fantastic and now it’s 5 star

I like the size, soft, really good heat and distribution., and neutral color.I just use it for comfort, usually while reading.I haven’t used it for pain, but it certainly heats good.It didn’t come with any smellJust neutralThe very first time or two, slow heatBut the insert says turn to high for about 10minutes.This is replacing a heat pad I had of similar design that lasted about 10 years, and I could also unplug it and wash it. It died because the control dropped into pet water.This new one has a bigger control and cord; sturdy.I’ve used it daily about 4 weeks now.

The heating pad is good on temperature but I must say I was very disappointed when it arrived. Soon as I opened the box the smell was so bad it was unbelievable. The entire pad and the bag and the box smelled like fish. It was horrible I tried to let it air out but that didn’t work then I just decided to wash it and that work but the bag smell did not remove. I washed the padding twice and just threw the bag out complete with the box. I have never received received something from amazon with such a horrible odor before. Outside of that the pad works great and the heat gets very hot .****Great Customer Service****I give this product now five stars. Customer service reached out to me via email and sent me another heating pad. I must say what a difference I opened the box and no smell at all just the new smell that most things have naturally. It is soft, comfortable and works well. I am really amazed because the first one was horrible this one really turned me around for sure. The heat pad is really great. It's large enough to go across my back and very flexible and soft. The only issue would be that the place where the power cord connects can make it a little difficult to readjust the heat pad exactly the way you want it to be. It's not a huge issue because it is simple enough to work around it, but it is definitely the most annoying part of the heat pad.The temperature control is limited, with there only being a low, medium, and high setting. The heat pad heats up incredibly quick and the heat can get quite high, but after it reaches its peak it definitely dips down in the amount of heat it radiates. It still stays decently hot but sometimes I wish it would stay a little hotter. The temperature is controlled by a single button. This button is very large and pretty sensitive and each press cycles from off to high. Due to this, it's extremely easy to accidentally turn it on by just tossing it to the side, sitting on it, or just throwing a pillow over it, so it is important to unplug it after use or to put it somewhere where it won't accidentally be turned on.As expected from a decent heat pad, it does work to relieve some sores such as back pains from poor posture. It is a really good heat pad for the price. Highly recommend it.

I initially gave a bad review of this heating pad because it would not heat up (see review below). However, the seller reached out to me and offered to send me a new one. I received the new heating pad and it is working fine. It is a nice sized pad and it gets hot. I am so pleased with the customer service!Old review: I plugged it in, turned it on high, and after 30 minutes, it still wasn't hot. I am happy to report that there wasn't a fishy smell like other reviewers experienced. I am going to have to send it back and look for another heating pad that actually gets hot enough to help my back pain. I am disappointed. I am so sick of buying things off of Amazon and returning them because of one issue or another.

new review:The heating pad works as it is supposed to: turn it on, adjust the temperature using the controls, lay on it or place it on your body. It is very comfortable, luxurious even, and easy to use. Heat distribution remains excellent. The customer service is super-responsive. We had the heating pad for 7 months when it decided to stop working. I wrote that in my comment and was surprised when another heating pad was sent to me as a replacement. Later the customer service person reached out to check that I received the heating pad, then reached out periodically to suggest (not insist!) that I update my review. It’s taken me awhile to update the review—I wanted to wait and see that it wasn’t a fluke. This is a life saver for pain management. I use it daily (off and on all day long) for chronic pain. I like that it is oversized and I can use both sides. The size enables me to use it anywhere on my body, torso, neck or legs. It is washable as well. When washed it remains soft and fluffy. It heats up quickly. It has 3 settings for heat and will shut off after a few hours on its own if I have forgotten. It has a long cord for use. i'm quite pleased. No jewelry or diamonds for me, just a good heating pad...lol...

The product received didn't work at all. Originally built for US voltage power supply, the same product is distributed in india with added voltage step down transformer. It short circuited as it was turned on. My parents had tried the product after 10 days of the delivery and when contacted amazon, they declined the product return, instead asked to contact the manufacturer for Warrenty. But, amazon didn't give any contact details of the manufacturer anywhere and didn't give it even after requesting for it. The product was delivered on 24th Aug 2022 and the return window was closed on 30th Aug, 2022!!! IF YOU ARE BUYING IT IN INDIA, NEVER EVER BUY IT. You will lose your money for nothing and amazon will wash their hands of.

Edited: I originally received a heating pad that didn't have a consistent temperature across it. The seller reached out and we sorted out with minimal effort on my side. The replacement heating pad works well and has a consistent temperature across it. It has basic features (3 temperatures, auto shut off after 2 hours), but that's all I needed or wanted.Original: It works as a heating pad, has great, intuitive controls, but the heat isn't consistent from one side of the pad to the other. For clarity, I mean both between the coils and also one end compared to the other.

UPDATE: Customer service reached out to us and, as a result, sent us a complimentary heating pad to try to restore our confidence in the product. We've only had it for a few days and it seems to be working okay so far. It still does not get hot enough for me but is warm enough for my partner, as he prefers a lower heat setting anyways. I didn't give this a 5 star rating only due to the heat issue; however, the customer service that Paramed provided was excellent! They deserve a higher rating for that part alone as they have made every effort to resolve our issues.Original review:At first, we thought this heating pad was great, so we ended up purchasing a second one once we received the first one. Within a week after receiving each, both started to create issues. They stopped getting as hot as they did at first, then the heat would fluctuate from warmer to cooler and kept on changing the temperature on their own, without us touching the controls. At one point, on one of the pads, the control continuously flashed red on and off and I had to unplug it in order for it to work again. We also found the button control very sensitive. If you move the pad around or reposition yourself, be sure to check the control afterwards to ensure that it is still on and at the proper setting. We have given them both a chance to "settle" (although you shouldn't have to do that) but we are running out of time on the return policy, and there is too much fluctuation and inconsistency. Therefore, unfortunately, we are returning both of these for a refund as they just aren't functioning properly. I hate returning goods but we don't want to give these even more of a chance then end up stuck with product that still malfunctions and the time period has then passed to return them. On a more positive note, the outer shell fabric is nice and soft.

I purchased this product and it arrived on time with brand new condition. I first connected it to a power bar which as surge protection and found this product did not function well. I plug it directly to an outlet on the wall directly and it works perfectly. I wrote my bad experience and the vendor replied to me and wanted to send me a new one. I am impressed with their response and the attitude towards a customer like myself.I also purchased a similar product which use microwave to warm up. I found this one using electrical power is more convenient to use and last forever with intensity levels. I prefer this type.
