The Prayer That Heals: Praying for Healing in the Family Paperback – August 1, 2005

It opens your eyes to healing something I wanted to learn.

I first ran across this book in the library of a retreat center when I was on a self-guided prayer retreat, and was so delighted with it that I decided to order a copy of my own. Covering the basics for a direct healing prayer ministry, the book will allow either individuals or teams to ramp up even when they're just getting started. MacNutt, more than many other writers on prayer, highlights the reality of gradual healing when oral, spontaneous prayer is applied repeatedly over a period of time, and identifies specific techniques besides just words that help to communicate the prayer to the one being prayed for.While MacNutt is a Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox believers will find this book helpful too.

This book is one of my favorite. This book show how to apply healing. It not to complicated. I recommend this book .

I have always wanted to learn more about what the Bible calls "the effectual fervent prayer" and this was recommended reading while doing a study on Healing Oils of the Bible and Healing: God's Forgotten Gift, by Dr. David Stewart. This book was so interesting and easy to read that I read it within 3 hours of receiving it. I highly recommend it for those of you who are at a place in your life where you want real answers.

Short & good read.

I ordered this book to pass on to a friend that had been given some pretty negative news after some preliminary tests. Just days after receiving the book and giving it to my friend she had one final test that changed the outcome to a positive result. Was it the prayer? Who can say?

What a differenct world it would be if every Christian family could follow this excellent prayer guide. What if we all prayed for our families like this? Easy to read but important encouragement for families to pray for each other.

I believe I ordered this for a church group library.

Very biblical and practical

whilst being a simple to read introductory book I find the title very misleading! Thought it would be packed full of prayers and have some information on healing the family tree whereas this is very generalised, and frankly a bit tedious . Not in the same category as Deliverance from Evil Spirits - disappointing!
