The best hand held Masager for the money
OK, the Thumper Mini Pro 2 massager is a must have if you want the following: The ability to massage relieve stress yourself, even your back, even at your desk while working or at home want to relax. A high quality product, as powerful as you will ever need, looks and feels like professional grade and will last for many years. You want to make your significant other turn into butter as she/he will love the relaxation and muscle tension release as you massage them...:) A massager heavy enough to massage larger deeper muscles and also light enough to gently massage muscle soreness from working out and over straining a now tender muscle. A massager that is very easy to use with an extra long cord which comes in handy when a plug in not so near and has multiple levels of massage that are great depending on whether you have tight muscles or ones that are a bit more tender. This is the best massager I have tried to date for producing a very relaxing massage and amazing stress release. I owned and used regularly a standard Thumper for over 10 years and it was still going as strong as ever. Unfortunately, I lost it in a move recently. So, I went right back to the best and I bought another Thumper Mini Pro.

UPDATE TO MY EARLIER REMARKS!
This is my second one. Had the original for about 20 years until the switch wore out. It's a great help when you overdo at the gym or while working in the yard. Would give it a 5 in all facets but it is a bit heavy, is awkward to manuver, and doesn't completely cure all muscle ails...but it really does help dissipate the soreness. The cheaper and smaller version, "sport" or "junior" model has some built-in problems, but this (original) version doesn't. Of course, all are made in China where product quality is non-existent, but this large version is something of an exception. I definately recommend it for relief of muscle soreness. And if, when you unpack it and everything works...I would say you have a "Keeper". JpnB UPDATE A year or so later, I'm gonna lower my rating because of one recurring, "unfixable" problem with these things.....the shoddy switch built into the handle. I have now had several of these massagers and every one exhibits the same problem namely; the switch constantly cuts on and off during use. Really annoying!!! In all other respects it is a good product, but the switch problem reduces its usefulness. I'm not alone in this experience either, several people I've spoken too who have also bought this massager, have all voiced the same complaint....the dumb switch constantly cuts on and off during use. Returning it for a replacement doesn't help solve this either; you get the same problem with the replacement unit. So, if you go ahead and buy one, just be aware that you are in for some mixed results because of a poorly designed switch. "Buyer Beware"...it's made in China!!! JonB

Unreliable Product + Poor Warranty Service
When I first bought this massager, it worked pretty well. I can't compare it to other massagers as I have not used many others, however, it seemed to work as described and felt pretty good. However, despite being used very sparingly and being cared for as instructed, my Mini Pro 2 stopped working properly. When I turn it on it stutters and doesn't gain power. The massaging heads barely move. My unit is still under warranty, so I contacted the manufacturer for help. They sent me instructions on how to fix it myself. I was unable to fix it, and their next suggestion was that I try to have a friend fix it instead. I suggested that instead, perhaps they should take it back to service or replace it. They explained that they do not replace units that are under warranty, they only service them. Further, I would have to pay to send it back AND would have to pre-pay $25 for them to ship it back to me. Given that this unit is under warranty and stopped working through no fault of my own, I think this is unacceptable. The manufacturer should be responsible for fixing or replacing broken units, and that should include shipping costs. This is especially true given the high cost of the item. I would not recommend this product due to the fact that it did not last very long and due to the fact that the manufacturer does not stand behind the product.

Helps with reduce exercise muscle pain.
Using the Thumper after exercising reduced the morning-after pain. For individual use, the handle is 3-5 inches too short but workable. I believe I read not to keep the Thumper plugged in when not using. If you leave it plugged in, you will notice the switch remains slightly warm. Some reviews from years earlier mentioned switch overheating issues/failures. The user manual mentions not to use the Thumper if you have any of several medical conditions. The manual also warns not to use on the neck. Apparently, there was one case of a blood clot being dislodged and causing an issue with the user. The product web site has a number of short videos on how to properly use the Thumper on various areas to get the best results. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase.

This is the one to get
There are a lot of massagers of various types out there. Many of them less expensive. Do yourself a favor, especially if you have chronic pain issues in muscles, just get this. I've been dealing with lower back and hip pain that really limited my mobility. One use of this a couple nights ago, and the next day I was a bit stiff but not hurting and my range of motion was majorly improved. Yes, it will hurt the first time until the muscles relax a bit, but then it's just pure relief. This is a commercial quality massager designed for therapists to use in their practice so it's more expensive, but also built really well. The cord is long which is a nice change from just about anything with a cord. Read the instructions before use, there are places on the body you shouldn't use this. I'm going to say this is a wonderful value simply because of how well it works.

QUALITY GOING DOWN?
This is the best massager, BUT... I've been using Thumper mini 13 years. My first one lasted almost 10 years, the 2nd one only 2 years, now the 2025 one??? I've fixed them multiple times, usually the cord fails at the junction with the massager. You can replace that. But what I cannot fix is the noise. The most recent failure it just rattled so loud I couldn't take it, had fixed the cord a few times, but the rattle noise meant replacement. The new one super quiet. How long will it last? Seems to me the quality has been going down.
