It is a decent set, used a few times and it works as intended for a short distances in my experience, yours may vary.A few observations and a main negative point of this product.After driving about 20-25 minutes with tie-downs used I found them to be so hot that the rubber surface is close to a point when it starts melting. It casts doubt on the longevity of these.What would they be after driving for a longer time? Not sure if I want to test that.

So long story short. I had a Kayak on top of my car, but I did not strap down the main straps before I took off. I got distracted and it was snug, but not fully tight. I could move the kayak side to side. Well during my 20min drive home, the kayak was held in place in the front by a cord system, and this strap I have mounted in my grille. it works! Don't be fooled in buying a way more expensive "brand name" version of this item. This is sturdy and works as intended. I also like this product because it has a little bit of a long nylon cord than others. All in all a great product, which I'm very thankful for.

I have used these a few times now ant they work great! I have gone 6 on the highway and they worked great and seem like they will continue to hold up well. Perfect and easy solution to tie down the bow of your kayak if your vehicle doesn't have a good attachment point.

These make attaching lines to secure the bow and stern of a kayak to your car a piece of cake. Shut the bar end in the trunk/hatch lid and the other in the hood and -- voila! -- you have a sturdy attachment for your lines that won't pull loose. I love these things.

Got these for my hood to tie down kayaks and they're working perfectly!! I just tie down to my hitch in the back but another set for the hatch or trunk would work for anyone without a hitch.

Very handy trunk loops to tie down my kayak. I like that they have the flat piece that can easily fit inside the hood or trunk of the vehicle.

These are great for tying down canoe or kayak to keep lines/rope from rubbing against car hood.

They work. Name brand but cheaper than the others. Nice job!

The tube that goes under the hood is super stiff. I would be concerned that it would keep the hood up somewhat on either side of the latch. Also, these require that it be sandwiched between metal...ie. metal hood and metal cross member. If you're using plastic, or your have a car like my son's mazda 3 whose plastic bumper basically meets the hood, then these are not recommended. I guess that with enough pull, they could come loose. I went with a strap loop that bolts just under the hood.

I got these a week or two ago. I opened the package and gave them a goodnight looking over but I’ve not yet tied anything down with them. That said, I am impressed with how well they’re made. The rubber stoppers are resilient, which I think is a good feature.I would not hesitate to buy these, again.

It will not work on my hood of my Jeep the rubber tubes are way too small and it is coming out when tightened. Will work on trunk though if I needed it there.

Really so easy to use. I use them to strap my boat down on my car.
