Smile Tooth 2 Minute Sand Timer Assorted Colors

Came well protected and works great to keep kiddo brushing for full 2 minutes. One side tends to stick a bit and backs up but it works. Only fear is the glass will break but encased in plastic tube makes me feel better about not having glass around bathroom.

Before ordering I had read through the reviews and almost went with a different timer. However, I ket coming back to this one because I liked how it looked. Anyway, I took a chance and ordered one. It arrived today and I am very pleased. I received the blue color (which I was hoping for), it has no problem standing up, and timing for the sands is right at 2 minutes. Perfect! I wanted to leave this review for others who were on the fence about this item. Also, the little face onthe front looks great! Thanks :D

First time we went to use it the tooth cap fell off and dropped the outer tube and the glass vial onto the counter. Luckily it didn't fall far and the glass tube didn't break. Looking more closely there was literally nothing holding the tooth on one end other than hopes and dreams. Its an easy enough fix with some glue but A) I didn't buy this as a DIY project B) Its very dangerous given its marketed to very young kids and the inner vial is glass. We would've had a serious issue if the glass had broken on the counter (that's about eye level with my daughter who was using it). It wouldn't be quite as concerning if this was a one off issue - but looking at the reviews in more detail now, its frustrating to see so many other people have the exact same problem. These should be recalled and refunded.

Overall this timer is awesome! It helps my son brush for the appropriate amount of time and is actually spot on exactly 2 minutes according to my handy dandy wrist watch! Unfortunately, the seller sent pink instead of blue, and I had to have the "sometimes things don't always work out right" talk with him, but now he's fine with having a girly little pink toothy timer, aptly named Tammy the tiny toothy timer

It's a cute concept but ours was bumped off the counter (I mean it's for kids....) and the glass broke inside that held the sand inside the timer so there goes that.

My son is a quick brusher, as many kids are, so I needed a timer for brushing. I saw this one and the smiling teeth were so cute instead of just a plain timer. Surprisingly, it made him excited to brush his teeth and "keep them clean like the teeth on timer". He is now brushing his full 2 minutes on his own. The only downside is that it is a little tipsy on one side when you stand it up. Pros- - cute smiling teeth make brushing seem more fun. - teaches them to keep white teeth like on the timer. - good price/ free Prime shipping. - sand accurately times the recommended 2 minute brushing time. - no batteries or displays to break. - no beeps or noisy alarms. Cons- - Ridges on the tooth make it a slight bit tipsy when you stand it on end. This was a good purchase. Hopefully going to save on dental bills and helping keep a healthy mouth. This was a personal retail purchase. I reviewed strictly to be helpful for other shoppers.

After reading some of the the other reviews I was hesitant to purchase, but for the price I figured the gamble was worth it. I am happy I took the chance. This now lives on my bathroom counter and I use it every time I brush my teeth. I have not had a problem with the sand not going through and it has fallen into the sink a few times and the glass did not break (like some others have complained about). I timed it, and it is not exact but takes a little over 2 minutes for the sand to go through (2:15-2:25), and I figure brushing for a little longer than 2 minutes is better than under. I will be buying another one of these for my nephew (once he is old enough to brush his own teeth).

This worked great for my child! knowing they are brushing there teeth good with this timer.

It arrived with the inner tube broken, so the product can't be used. But then its a 10 minute drive each way to the depot to return the item. Not worth it for the $10 refund. So just avoid.

very costly for what the product was...no would not spend that kind of $$ for it again.
