Upper Deck Legendary Playmat: Dark Phoenix vs The X-Men, Multi

I'd played Legendary Marvel about 25 times before purchasing this mat and my game board was looking a little worse for wear after being unfolded and folded back up 20+ times. This mat is the perfect replacement for when your game board gives out or for when you want to upgrade your playing experience.The art is vibrant, clear, and exciting. The neoprene is just the right thickness for it to lay flat after being rolled up while also not being so thin as to feel cheap. The printed card spaces fit perfectly for both sleeved and unsleeved cards and are labeled and easy to see while not obstructing the art too much.Since purchasing this mat I've played 42 more games and I can honestly say that it was a more fun experience because of it. The cards move perfectly like it's a casino card table and the art is so much more engaging than the somewhat bland board that comes with Legendary Marvel. It's almost a pleasure to clean up the game and put it away because of the playing surface.It really holds up so far. I've played nearly twice as many games on the mat as I have on the original board and the mat looks just like new while the original board is showing some signs of wear and tear after only 25 plays (literally in the tear case).It's a worthwhile investment for the experience especially if it's a game you play more or want to get to the table more.

I am a huge Marvel Fan and have a connection to X-Men and their fight for equality.I own the base game and several expansions,When I discovered a play mat for the series. I jumped at Dark PhoenixLove the detail and will be a excellent addition when the Master Mind is Dark Phoenix.My question is where do you place the KO Cards?

Finally enough room for all the stacks of cards this game requires. Now all I need is a way to pack it neatly with the rest of the game

This is a good replacement for the board. Unlike the core game board, it includes marked spots for sidekicks, as well as executed master strikes and plot twists. There are 3 unmarked rectangles, presumably for future features or for keeping KO'd cards separate by type.The artwork is excellent, although purists may be bothered by the fact that it shows Gambit, Iceman, Jubilee and Rogue, who were not part of the Dark Phoenix saga, and is missing Angel, Nightcrawler and Professor X, who were.

It’s a pretty thin mat for how expensive it is. The edges are also not knit meaning they can fray.

It's much better than the original game board since it has space for everything, but the colours make it a bit hard on the eyes. Perhaps the art should have been more subtle or the colour "faded" to make it easier to see the cards

Hands down the best playmat to play Marvel Legendary. The artwork looks amazing especially when you play the X-Men expansion fighting against Dark Phoenix herself!! Really worth the money.
