ComfyMed Breathable Mesh Back Brace CM-SB01 Lower Back Pain Relief Lumbar Support Belt for Treatment of Sciatica, Scoliosis, Herniated Disc or Degenerative Disc Disease

I have fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. I've had a terrible time standing up to cook, do housework, etc.. This brace really helps support my lower back so I can stand for an hour, or so. It doesn't eliminate the pain, but keeps it in check. For example, I love to cook and haven't been able to for about two years. I wore the brace yesterday, cooked a full meal, and cleaned the kitchen. Doesn't sound like much, but it's a lot more than I've been able to do! If you have lower back pain, I recommend giving this brace a try. Also, the company is wonderful! I had a few questions - they answered my mail the next morning.

Let me start by saying, that I have purchased several back supports over time and none of them lived up to the hype, including the copper ones. I saw this one and thought it had all of the things that I was looking for. I am 72 years old and have degenerative disc disease, not life threatening, but it makes it hard to keep my posture where it should be. I received it yesterday and followed the directions, put it on and I was immediately impressed. Unlike most back supporters, you can change how tight or loose that is most comfortable, for your needs. It is ventilated, so it doesn't make you sweaty, (most others do). It actually made my back straighten up right away. Even sitting in a chair, my back still was straight. Did a short workout and, no sweat. Wore it for a couple of hours and it felt so good that I didn't want to take it off. I believe this belt will help me strengthen my back ans abdominal muscles over time. Great product and one that I will use everyday.

I am wearing it right now. I daily walk my dogs around several blocks, and even to the shopping center. Normally, when I get home I collapse for an hour...(I am hmm..75)! But can't let the dogs down! Also I love working in my yard, Front and back yards... I have developed a tropical forest and I love to plant this, or manicure elephant ears, ponytail ferns, etc, etc, and keep fountains clean and running . I can spend hours outside, I just love it!BUT MY BACK IS GIVING OUT. I am not an athletic person anymore, but I love what I do. I ordered a couple of these back braces, and OMG, I can complete my day, weary and tired, but not in pain. I should have done this years ago, but its never too late! they are firm, gentle, not binding, but keep me in tact! What a great product...I Thank you

I accidentally wrote a review for this comfy med for the wrong support brace....ugh...because I had tried a few different ones. Saying that, the comfyMed Breathable is my husbands favorite out of the three I had ordered. He kind of sounded like Goldilocks and the three bears. One was too flimsy and one was to ridged and this one the mesh one was 'just right' for what he needs. My husband wanted something that gave him support and still had some flexibility in it since he wanted it for his weekly flights and to use in the office. This one did both. It gives him the support, flexibility plus a bit cooler because of the mesh. He loves how small it is when he needs to pack it. He loves how it isn't bulky and can wear it under his dress shirts over his undershirt. And he loves how it gives him support while sitting on the plane or in the chair at the office without feeling like he is in a restraining device ;-) He still uses the stiffer more therapeutic brace when he needs the extra support however for daily travel and work this works great, plus when he is going grocery shopping :D

I was a bit skeptical buying this, I’ll admit. It claims to he a lot more flexible than it is and I planned for that. When looking for a brace you ca do gymnastics in, your pick it pretty slim. Comfort; Directly on the skin this is a total fail. Hell no. Not comfy at ALL. It pinches, pulls, and generally hurts. However, the sitting of the spines are very well arranged and aren’t uncomfortable at all - something I wasn’t expecting honestly. So that’s nice. Bending over is a little hard but that’s a good thing. It will definitely make you more body posture aware. As far as over fabric, I think it’s fantastic comfort-wise. It’s a good, reassuring feel, and is designed perfectly for an active life.Sizing; I was actually really impressed this wasn’t huge on me. I wear a size 0-2 so finding a brace to fit was hard, and figured this one would be too big. But I actually find myself wearing it with a little space and even at the tightest it is comfy. That pleases me immensely.Support; Considering the fact that I work with dogs my size or bigger for a living, and spend all day bending over, lifting buckets, and rough housing with 50+ dogs and I can still move after today wearing this? I’d say the support is pretty damned good. I threw my back while grooming my German shepherd (yeah, have fun trying to hold a dog as big as you down to shave an injury on it’s leg so it doesn’t get infected) and ever since I’ve come home so pained after work that I wouldn’t be able to play with my dogs or do much more than lay in bed with a heat pack. Today I played fetch with my pups for over an hour, and am only just now settling down. Overall; this is one happy customer.

FYI: I paid full price for this brace and I'm writing this review on my own initiative. I've tried a couple of back belts and this one is well made. You can synch it down tightly enough to get all the support you could ever want. However, those qualities also mean it has a good bit of bulk. I think it's a little much for wearing under clothes for any length of time. I would trade away some of its strength to get a slimmer fit. I've tried a couple types that are easier to wear underneath clothing, but they don't breathe well and I get soaked with sweat quickly. This belt breathes very well and I don't have that problem at all. If the bulk isn't a concern, I think this is one of the better models available and I'd recommend it. As to size, when standing and completely relaxed, my gut measures 38" (around belly button) and the REG size fits fine.

I given this brace a 4 star rating on comfort & support. I had seriously strained my lower back playing Pickleball. My back was healing when I ordered this back brace and when it arrived I was no longer in pain. My back had recovered within a couple weeks, however, I was reluctant to play Pickleball again. I am now playing Pickleball without back discomfort. I am not worried about re-injuring my back when wearing this brace. I am petite (5'2" 105lb) and the regular size fits comfortably, snugly and with adequate support so I can play hard! I wear a loose sleeveless top and no one is aware that I have on a back brace.

I can't wait to use this brace when I am doing my work as a landscape gardener. I tried it on and it is very comfortable and the fabric allows air flow, which is extremely important to me, during the hot summer days. My work can be extremely strenuous, when I have to move a lot of soil and garden maintenance.

I have not had a lot of time to use this yet, but I will say that it is a lot more comfortable than my last one! It is much cooler because of the mesh, it is very easy to adjust and fasten, and it does not slip down or roll up. Five stars and may order another one later!

Though I am buying it for my father who is very old, I checked it with myself, it's strong and fits nicely. I hope its work out with the best way for him. Well, I would certainly recommend the product.

I have chronic back pain from work injury. This brace has been very helpful in providing sufficient support I was looking for. I like the mesh material in particular. Indeed breathable and very helpful in helping me getting through summer in Australia.
