Solved my 3090ti problem
So I upgraded my card from a 3060 to a 3090ti and found that the new card was a little too sensitive for my previous DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. Ordered this one, plugged it in and bamm! Everything works. The "Active" part is what was needed.

Works well
This works well using the DisplayPort input on my 10 year old Dell M4700 laptop. The internal graphics card is an AMD FirePro M4000 with 1 GB GDDR5. I bought a relatively inexpensive Dell SE2422H monitor as a replacement for an old Samsung that I was using for the extend desktop. I was not happy with the VGA quality of the image and was already using the HDMI input for the main monitor. I had never used the DisplayPort input prior to this so this was an experiment. The description of the adapter said that it would work with AMD Eyefinity so I gave it a shot. Worked perfectly for my needs.

Didn't work for us, but it's probably not their fault...
We bought 10 of these to connect large touchscreen LCD's to our Lenovo OneLink Pro docks within the classrooms. They do not work. We have had to buy a model made by Femoro which does work. My frustration is that I can't return these...so I'm stuck with them! In the past, I have always liked Cable Matters products, and will probably continue to purchase them. However, the fact I can't return their product is a bit frustrating...and I wasn't aware of this 'rule', since I have never had to return Cable Matters products in the past.Update - Cable Matters contacted me and informed me that the lack of returnability was an issue with Amazon, not them. They were willing to take them back if Amazon wouldn't. Amazon fixed the glitch and I was able to return 1/2 of them (I had opened the others). Like I said earlier, I frequently purchase Cable Matters products and will continue to do so!

Yet Another Solid Product from Cable Matters.
We needed DP to HDMI conversion with timing correction for my wife's work HP laptop docking station as it only outputs VGA or two Display Ports. We wanted to connect a 4K 55" Roku TV to it as a big monitor / TV to the HDMI. She had two 28" monitors, but her new office area at home was a little smaller and using the TV as a second monitor gave MUCH more room. AND it let her go to 4K video and see everything well, and room for even more open apps/windows. It works great with the TV, her computer had no timing issues with it as we had with a cheapie adapter. (Not that this is really expensive) Working great and worth the money spent.

Perfect and exactly as advertised
I just bought a Lenovo 700 tower with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 video card that, among others, has one HDMI output and one DisplayPort (DP) output and supports up to 4K resolution (actually 5120x3200). My two monitors each have a native resolution of 2560x1440 at 60Hz with HDMI, DP, and DVI-D inputs. I am using both of them together for an extended desktop at their native resolution (running Windows 10, BTW).Since the GTX 960 has an HDMI and a DP output, it was a no-brainer to use an HDMI cable to connect one of the monitors. For the second monitor, I could have just used a DP cable and called it a day; it would have been less expensive. I am not sure if I made the best choice or if it matters at all. Both HDMI and DP offer their respective video resolutions, with audio, and up to 60 frames per second (fps). I decided, for consistency and probably for no other reason, that I wanted both monitors to be connected via their HDMI inputs.Hence, my purchase of this DP to HDMI adapter. Only Active DP adapters can support higher resolutions than the 1080p (1920x1200) of passive adapters, which again is different than a straight DP cable, which supports full DP resolutions. There are a good number of active DP to HDMI adapters to choose from, and I would just make sure you read the specs VERY CAREFULLY to ensure you pick the one that accommodates your needs. The last thing you want is a 1080p adapter for a higher-definition monitor or TV, or one that does not support the refresh rate or frame rate you expect.I have had good prior experience with "Cable Matters," so I went with them. Installation could not have been any simpler. I plugged the DP end of the adapter into my graphics card and my HDMI cable from my second monitor into the other end of the adapter. My second monitor came on immediately as the extension of the first. No installation or configuration of any kind was needed. It is just as if I had used a regular DP cable, so the end result is exactly what I wanted. There are no downsides to this configuration, and unless the adapter fails for some reason, I am a happy camper.

Use Warrky DisplayPort to HDMI Cable Instead!
I purchased a HP Thunderbolt Dock and two monitors for a dual set up. Once I received the Dock, I discovered that the dock only provided DisplayPorts for the monitors which only had HDMI connections and accompanying cables. Therefore, I purchased two Cable Matters Display Port to HDMI Adapters. The adapters did not work properly. Every time I booted up my laptop, I was required to disconnect the HDMI cable from the adapter and then reconnect it to utilize the displays.I contacted Cable Matters and they claimed that it was my expensive hp dock which was the issue. Before I went down that rabbit trail, I decided to purchase Warrky's 4K DisplayPort to HDMI cables and see if the problem persisted. I also posted a question on Amazon and was answered by others who either had the same issue or worse. One reviewer told me that "at least yours works!"I then ordered the Warrky cables. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THESE CABLES!Not only did Warrky's cables work wonderfully once implemented, but the braided cables are what one generally receives with the much more expensive offerings. They are very durable and eye catching.I work in the IT field and will recommend these cables to all of my customers. I am thrilled to be given such a product that works as designated, is high end, and sold at a very affordable price.

Perfect for getting 3rd monitor working!
I 'upgraded' to a newer used video card (r9 280x) and for some reason it couldn't handle vga + hdmi + dvi (my old one had no issues with that). So I tried a couple of different adapters but they didn't work. This one works perfectly since it's actually an active adapter (others I tried said active but weren't). So now I'm using hdmi, dvi and displayport for my three monitor setup. I was able to ditch the old vga adapter I'd been using. I can't speak to the '4K' quality as my monitors are older and not close to 4K. This adapter saved me from having to ditch my third monitor or buy a new one. Well worth it!

Works just as intended. Using to convert an HDMI connector from my Huion Pen display to plug into one of the display ports on my Nvidia graphics card. Works perfectly.
