When I saw these I thought why had I never seen these before. Often times you need to adjust the elastic length to get just the right tension and these allow you to do that. They adjust quickly and easily and stay where you set them to. Great product-very versatile. Recommended

Like another reviewer said, I, too, have an absolute passion for bungee cords. The adjustable length of these makes them so versatile, and I would say they're in the upper level of quality for nylon-covered bungees. It took me a little while to figure out how they adjust, and having diminishing hand strength, I do find it a bit difficult to secure the cord to length when shortening it. The plastic hooks are quite heavy and thick and, while that gives strength and durability, the thickness doesn't work in some applications. (Like smaller tarp eyelets. They work with the typical tarps, but I have some with small eyelets, and these hooks won't fit into those.) The hooks are also notched on the inside, I suppose to allow the hook to "catch" and hold securely? I've not seen that before. I'm deducting one star because, for me, the thick hook is somewhat limiting and for the fact that I found it takes some hand strength to secure the adjusted length, especially if working in cold outdoor temps. Overall, the adjustable length bungee is a wonderful twist on an already versatile "tool".

These are probably the best bungee cords that I have ever used. I've used my fair share of bungee cords over the years. I usually get the cheapest ones that I can find, and am subsequently disappointed by how fast they wear out. I am a huge fan of these cables because I have had them 6 months so far and they still have an incredible amount of elasticity. Most cables would have been stretched out so that they are only elastic at near max length. Not only do these cables have superior elastic properties, you can adjust each end so that you can have the maximum amount of applied force. They are super stretchy though and blow away the kind that you find at harbor freight. Although they have faded a little since I got them, I am pretty sure that they have most of the same elasticity as when they were new. The ones that have been under tension for 6 months only feel slightly less elastic than one that has been used periodically. I use it to strap down boxes in my work van and I have never had one fail on me, or had the locking mechanism slip. I would also like to point out the amazing value to quality ratio. These are definitely worth the price I paid, and in fact I bought another pack of them recently. The straps are very long, and even if you do not need all the length you can shorten an end. This is way better than buying assorted lengths IMO. They are only about $1.50 a piece so if you need long bungee cords these are the ones you want!

If there’s a heaven for bungee cords, these Kotap 36-inch beauties would be sitting on the throne, orange glory and all. They’re sturdy, adjustable, and, let’s be honest, kind of make me feel like I’ve got my life together when I strap down my yard tractor cart like a pro. Need to keep a load of yard debris from flying off? Boom, these cords have you covered. Want to feel like a rugged MacGyver of landscaping? Double boom. Plus, the bright orange color screams (in my best Robert De Niro voice), “I’m working here, I'm working, but I also want to be seen from space.” They come in a bunch, so you’ll always have enough to secure whatever chaos you’ve got going on. If you don’t use them all at once, you’ll probably find yourself inventing reasons to bungee things down just for satisfaction. And the price? It’s practically a steal. You’re getting a pack of reliable, heavy-duty bungees without putting a dent in your wallet. Verdict: If you need bungee cords, stop thinking about it and just buy these. They’re tough, reliable, and a little flashy—basically the James Bond of bungee cords, but on a budget!

These are the best bungees. The adjustable lengths make them extremely useful in all kinds of situations. But remember- Do not trust the locking mechanism to be the only tie-down method of vehicle loads. Depending on what you're transporting, you probably shouldn't be using only bungees anyway. Use your head, and these will be one of the most useful items in your garage/truck box/camping gear.

These holds up great to sun and rain. I have a set from 5 years ago that are still stretchy and work great. They faded some but still work without fear of snapping. Hooks are plastic and won't mark like metal hooks and i only broke one so far that was my fault.

These are PHENONENAL. I've had lots of bungee cords, had I known about these would've bought them long ago. Top quality, awesome hooks, look great, and best of all the hooks are detachable and the cords adjustable- instructions not needed, a monkey could do it (but see below for how I did it and an alternate, quicker method, with photos). I bought a tarp to partially cover my motorhome and shield it from the hot sun (great if you're looking for one: Kotap 15-ft x 30-ft Heavy-Duty 12 by 12 Cross Weave 8-mil Reversible Green/Silver Poly Tarp, Item: TGS-1530 ), made by the same company, and by detaching the hooks, I could run the cords THRU the eyelets on the tarp for innumerable ways to anchor it. I'm not a DIY person, believe me, and by the time I was done the tarp was trussed like a turkey, could withstand the strongest wind, and looked like a professional did it. SO pleased! I used them all, now I'm buying more. Highest recommendation! Removing hooks (see photos): The end of each cord is doubled over and encircled by a heavy metal ring, like a thick staple. I took two pairs of pliers (one regular, one needlenose) and opened it up, pried it off. I'm not very strong and it took muscle, and even more muscle to put it back on, bend it back into shape around the doubled-up cord. So the next time around I snipped off the doubled up end and metal ring with tin snips, and removed the hook at one end. Then I ran the cord thru the desired eyelets on the tarp, and reattached the hook at the end. I fastened a zip-tie tightly to the end of the cord (don't even need to fold the cord back on itself this way), the zip tie keeps the cord from passing thru the hook. Then I cut off the excess zip tie. I used a white zip-tie, a black one would look better, blend right in. The zip tie works perfectly, doesn't slip, even when the cord is stretched at maximum tension. Quick and easy.

These Kotap adjustable bungee cords are a very practical set to keep around for outdoor gear and general use. The elastic cords have a good amount of stretch while still feeling strong and durable. I like that the length can be adjusted, which makes them much more versatile than standard fixed bungees. The plastic hooks are sturdy and easy to clip onto racks, kayak handles, coolers, or other equipment. They hold securely without slipping, and the bright orange color makes them easy to spot when packing gear. Getting a 10-piece set is a great value because you always have extras when you need them. I use 2 milk crates on my kayak when I fish, they hold my tackle, anchor, sunscreen, water/snacks etc. I want them to be secure and these will definitely do the job.

Produto de boa qualidade, porém uso muito restrito - pouco útil em função do comprimento pequeno (18 polegas), e o elástico estica muito pouco, limitando bastante as cargas que se consegue amarrar. Para utilização, apenas caixinhas muito muito pequenas OU então é preciso emendar 3,4,6 cordões um no outro para possibilitar o uso - algo que me parece contra-produtivo e contrário ao design e propósito do produto. Além disso, essa limitação de uso NÃO fica nada clara no anúncio e descrição do produto no site da Amazon - o fabricante deveria ser mais claro OU então produzir elásticos de maior comprimento que pudessem ser úteis de verdade!

Great product and adjustable Bungee. Pretty sure this does not conform to Australian standards in regards to labelling. Should be good for home use though. You pull the bungee to the desired length then lock it into the hook. This save you having to try and wrap it around things and back on itself.
