Wristwatch Annual 2016: The Catalog of Producers, Prices, Models, and Specifications

I don't know much about watches but I really got this for my sister as a christmas gift. She is a watch fanatic and has her own you tube channel in which she reviews watches. She LOVED this book and said it was full of information and would have bought it herself.

It's a very well presented catalog of watches and their movements. It's fair in price and makes for good conversation while it sits on the coffee table.

Good price and "prime" shipping

Decent Book. I wouldn't call it ideal.... Citizen, Bulova, Casio are not in there.... Only a very brief blurb on Seiko, a company 20 years older than Rolex.... Nothing about Christopher Ward, either, which I think is odd.... Definitely a luxury watch that seems like it belongs with the others in this book... That being said, it is a great coffee table book, and a lot of fun to flip through, just to see the offerings, read about these companies, see what the prices are really like for some of these pieces.... The illustrations are delightful. Well written by Mr. Braun. Very high quality book. Very heavy glossy paper, nice binding, vivid color photos, high production value is maintained throughout. This is not a magazine, it is a real book. I guess I would say, if you are really interested in Swiss luxury watches, like from Oris on up, then this book is definitely for you.... If you prefer Japanese luxury, they are mostly ignored. Even in the Swiss, quite honestly, A company like Victorinox, who make the Swiss Army Knives, and watches, and other gear.... Very brief coverage. Which is too bad. Victorinox is a decent company that offers hundreds & hundreds of watches, at a whole plethora of price points.... I'd be interested to read more, see some pictures.... To be fair, I should say, to me, you can buy a VERY nice Swiss or Japanese watch in the $200-$400 range, US. So, when I say "luxury watch", I am saying, $500 and up. There are lots of Japanese and Swiss choices in that range as well, that are worthy, in my humble opinion. I think if we asked Mr Braun, he feels that a worthwhile watch starts at $1500, and goes up until you get to "good" watches... That being said, this is a "Dream" book. It is fun to look at Patek Phillipe watches in wonderful detail, and see the prices.... I understand completely that that is part of the point of this book. To show you things you would never buy. There are several makers, dozens of watches, that are more than my house. That's fun to look at.... For the price, this book is well worth it, if nothing else to be in your library or on your coffee table.

Sports fans have SI, timepiece fans have the bible according to Braun --its cool, curated and consistently tops in its class (which is why it's pretty much the only annual that matters) ...

Catalogo completo con bellissime fotografie. Diviso in ordine alfabetico per marchi, con spiegazioni base e specifiche dei movimenti. Un classico da comprare ogni anno.

Liked the way book was set out and photos were very clear. No complaints.

The de facto guide to watches. Not a ton of changes from 2015 but great book nonetheless.

It was a few years since my husband had had one of these annuals (he still had the previous one). He very much enjoyed the new one - one of the few watch books to quote prices. Not a cheap book but a lot of information. It seems to vary in size on different years. A good book for the enthusiast.
