Chicago Girls Rink Roller Skate - White Youth Quad Skates

These are just okay. My 4.5 year old is starting to get in to skating, so I ordered these for her. Compared to the brown rink skates, they are much harder to skate in and go much slower. They have really cheap wheels and bearings that don't spin freely, even when adjusted. I think my daughter is already better than the skates and she is only 4. I can't imagine that older kids would like them. I wish I had just saved the $$ and sprung for a better pair. Some of the other brands at a similar price point seem like they have better wheels.

I bought 3 pairs of these skates for my daughters. On day 1, my soon to be 12 y/o tried them out and fell because when she came to a stop, the stopper came off and caused her to fall. Went to urgent care because she couldn’t move her wrist or turn her hand. She now has to see an orthopedic surgeon. Three days later, one of my 10 y/o twin girl was skating and her stopper came off, luckily she did not fall, her dad put it back on and then the next day it came off again. These are defective skates and we are now incurring medical bills and appointments because of them. Never in my entire life of skating did my stoppers randomly come off. And this was not just one skates, but two of them, even after making sure they were securely tightened. Defective items.

First of all, can we talk about HOW CUTE THESE SKATES ARE ?! I was absolutely blown away with how cute they are, in person! Within the first day of my little one using these, multiple people asked where they were from, and if they came in adult sizes!They are extremely comfortable, and I was given no complaints! They worked so well on gravel, pavement, over stones, down the drive way, and over bumps! They have a very sturdy and heavy wheels that stay grounded. They are very easy to maneuver and provide a lot of stability for either a beginner skater or someone who’s a pro!I highly recommend these for any child wanting to learn how to roller blade!•if you found this review helpful, please let amazon know by clicking the helpful button, below ! Within 30 minute of use I fall and twisted my ankle slightly when the rear two wheels of the right skate popped out of the socket. I used a wrench to put them back in the proper place and then noticed that the left skate front wheels were pointing inward slightly so that when I rolled I always veered right. I packed this up to return them after having them for less than an hour.The next day I ended up just going to a rink and renting their skates and the rentals were 10Xs better because they were easier to roll with. It's impossible to do scissor motions in these, and to top it off, they are dangerous. If you are learning, spend a little more on more functional skates or go to the rink and rent some there.

Do not waste your money. I am familiar with roller skates, having been skating for the last 28 years. I might have had 3 or 4 issues TOTAL with the skates I have owned in almost 3 decades. My daughter wore these twice and both times she wasn't able to fully enjoy herself; because the stoppers kept coming unscrewed and falling off. Yes we screwed them back on, they don't appear to be stripped. Also, the stopper is simply a hard piece of plastic- no rubber involved. If she were to attempt to use it, she would slide and fall. These skates are a hazard and I learned my lesson for choosing a more "affordable" option.

These skates are not high quality by any stretch of the imagination. The boot and plate are plastic with poor construction. She wore them to skate night for the first time and both toe stoppers fell out at different times. The trick to it though is you have to make sure the part it screws into is lined up. I had the rental skate guy help us out with tightening them up. The wheels are cheap and need adjusting. Thankfully, her foot is growing and will need new skates before we know it. I forgot to mention how scuffed the boot got the first night. They appear to be a better skate than they are. They are cute on and she loves them (she's five so appearances is all she cares about). I give them 3 stars because her love of them bumped it from the 2 stars I feel it deserves.

These were exactly what we expected, a great beginner skate for our 6 year old daughter who is just starting to skate. She only uses these for the roller rink. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the tongue does slide around, so I will be making a couple of slits in it to thread the laces through. Also, make sure you tighten the breaks down, we lost one while skating, but that might have been because it was getting quite a bit of use! Overall, great skate for learning on, and it was true to size.

These boot roller skates stand out from any other skates I have ever come across the style is unique yes they were quite expensive but not over priced the quality is excellent I have seen skates way more expensive then these and no where near as unusual and I can’t tell you the amount of comments my daughter as had each time she as used them then i am asked where did you get them AMAZON and I must admit I’m kind of pleased that they are out of stock at the moment! EDITADO: Hoy en clase de patinaje de mi hija me dijeron que no son Chicago originales. Los originales tienen ruedas de goma, base de aluminio, etc. No son mala opción para empezar pero NO son originales.Todo bien. El freno y las ruedas están muy bien puestas. La talla fue precisa. Mi hija calza del 21 y le quedaron muy bien y con un poco de espacio. Aunque son muy sobrios en color blanco pienso conseguirle unas estampas de plástico por si quiere decorarlos. Las agujetas vienen exageradamente largas pero se las cruzo por atrás para que no le estorben tanto.

I don't understand how these can have so many positive reviews....1. Bearing are HORRIBLE and don't spin properly. Old beat up rink rentals are much better.2. Wheels don't spin true and wobble like crazy!3. One of the reviews said the boot was leather! NOT a chance! Thin vinyl which offers little support.If you want your kids to enjoy roller skating buy a better product! I ended up buying new wheels and bearings and only now are the skates even usable.Imagine a bicycle with wheels that aren't round and don't spin. Sound like fun! NOT! With rental skates my 4 year old could skate for 90 mins... With these things she was exhausted after 20 mins. I should have returned them...

These are so cute! My 5 yr old daughter loves them and has really taken to roller skating. They seems to be great quality. They wheels are a bit tight at first but that actually helped a bit to keep her steady a s they've loosened up just enough so she can really glide now

Excelenteeees patines super bonitos y faciles de utilizar ahora que estan tan de moda este tipo de patines. Llegaron justo antes de navidad y el precio creo que es muy competitivo

Los pedí del número exacto y nos quedaron grandes. Con calceta gruesa y bien ajustados la adaptación es muy rápido. Es bota suave y se siente alta pero son lo máximo

Le quedaron a mi hija de acuerdo a la talla indicada, quedó fascinada y en una semana aprendió a patinar, muy buena calidad, los recomiendo.
