Great upgrade for my old laptop
I decided to add more RAM to my 7 year old laptop instead of replacing it. It was extremely easy to install, and it works perfectly. Just a heads up...if you add the RAM and your laptop doesn't boot up, switch the RAM sticks around. I had to put the new one in the slot where the old one was and the old one in the previously empty slot. Common issue, apparently.

8 Gb Timetec DDR4 PC4-2133 PC4-17000 SODIMM Laptop RAM
Excellent product at even a better price. I bought the 8 Gb version of this for my older Acer Aspire 3 A315-21-4808 laptop. The laptop had recently given up the ghost due to a failing HDD, but I wasn't ready to toss it into the electronics recycling bin just yet. So I bought a new HDD and a battery to bring it back to life. I then decided that I might as well bump up the RAM and see what that would do. Well, except for a slow boot-up, which the Acer always had, the laptop is running very good. And that's good news considering I've had the laptop for 9 years.
