Veepeak LED Motion Sensor Closet Light Night Light Battery Operated Under Cabinet Lighting with 3 Mode Switch, Stick on Anywhere, Wireless Motion Activated

This is a very clever technology that is most helpful and practical. We use it in the bathroom for the late night visits when turning on the lights would disturb others and totally wake the brain of the person making the trip. The light attaches by means of a double stick strip which itself attaches to the light by means of a magnet that runs the length of the light. A simple three position switch turns allows the user to have the light turn on instantly when motion is detected in low or no light conditions, or the light will ramp up to full brightness which we find is less disturbing in a totally dark room. The third position of the switch is off. Since it is automatic, once you select to have the light turn on quickly or slowly, you don't have to bother with the switch again. It uses 4 AAA batteries which are easy to install. We are very pleased with the light and the only drawback is that once activated, the light stays on for only 15 seconds which requires moving a hand to "wake" up the light for an additional "15 second cycle. The light would be a bit more useful if the "on" cycle was more like 30 or 45 seconds. That's the only drawback to this very clever light.

They are very effective. A hard mounting option would be a better option as the "stick-up" tape doesn't work terribly well on uneven walls and most interior house walls have uneven finishes.As an update my prior point stands to the point where, after probably 30 or 40 "clunks" from the pantry where the Veepeak lights were on the ground the battery compartment plastic/rubber closure separated itself from the metal battery and workings container and is now not functional. This is a very good unit and I think the simple step of drilling two holes in the magnetic plate, and including two cheap screws and wall anchors, would make this unit bomb-proof. It lights really well and functions perfectly but it just won't stay on a wall. I've replaced it with a pair of units that offer both options. Such a pity.

Some LED lights are pretty weak, but his one is quite bright. It comes with an adhesive strip to attach it the wall or a bottom of a shelf. Note that a magnetic strip is attached to the adhesive strip so the light can easily removed for replacement of batteries. The motion sensor will only work in subdued light, so don't panic when you first get it and the motion sensor doesn't seem to work if you are in a brightly lit room. There are three settings of the switch; motion-activated fast on, always on, motion-activated gradual brightening. It works great in kitchen cabinets where the inner cabinet is dark. If you want to use it under even moderate light, the motion sensor might not work the way you want it to, without some modifications of available light.

These were incredibly easy to install and provide a descent amount of light. I placed 4 of them underneath my kitchen cabinets to light my counter tops. Based on the sensing technology, I do find that they sometimes kick on in response to temperature changes; when my heat kicks on, these lights will come on. That will ultimately affect battery life, but since they go off so quickly, I don't think it will be a huge problem. I bought 2 of these and then 2 more after testing out the first set. Thus, I clearly liked them!

It's actually fairly terrific — I've gone through half a dozen of these kinds of products and none of them last, but this one seems to be holding up. I just wish it was brighter. I only use rechargeable batteries, so I'm not concerned about battery life and it has a terrific feature, a magnetic mount, that makes replacing the batteries terrifically easy.

Works well. I put it in my garage next to the light switch so when I first walk in and it's still dark this light comes on. It brightens up the local area well enough. My wife likes it and so did my dad when visiting so much I bought him one.

It is once again safe for my Wife to traverse the stairs at night. What a great product, no expensive wiring to have installed and very rapid response to movement with exceptionally bright lighting broadcast.

This product is really slick and i was surprised how super bright it is! We actually had to attach it under the counter bc it was too bright for night-time use for us. But it's really slick looking and easy to secure anywhere.Heads up - it does not come with batteries!

Ideal for lighting odd corners, ie where the main light is not too effective.A plus in my opinion is the fact that it can be turned off and not be relianton movement all the time.Well made, good price, good product.

I was not sure, of course, what this light would be like, until I had it in my hands. This compact and powerful light can be taken with you almost anywhere. This is the one you'll need if you out in your tent or RV or in your gun safe. Anywhere you need a light source quickly.I have this mounted in my gun storage room/vault. As soon as you enter the dark room this lights immediately so you can see what you're doing without having to fumble for the switch.It's auto on/off selectable switch allows you to have it come on as any motion is detected or turn it on as a flashlight.I should have bought a few more, and will now, as I've seen what this can do.Would I recommend the purchase of these lights? Heck yes!

This is a different LED that offers you the choice on how will it orate. The soft fade in and out of the light is good when you walk into a dark place at night and it gives your eyes a chance to adjust to the light. The instant on off mode is useful in closets or locations which do not get natural or artificial light but needs light for you to see properly. And last the permanent on, it helps when you need the light to stay on for a period longer than the 15 second default. This is a very good purchase which you could install several of them along a dark hallway and as you walk it illuminates your path (very cool when used with the gradual setting. I highly recommend this item!

I'm sorry to say I have to give this light 1 star. I put 4 new Duracell batteries in and in 2 days it was very dim. Checked my batteries and they had hardly any charge,which surprised me as they were new Duracells still in package. Of course I thought I had bad batteries. I put in 4 new batteries and again very dim light after 3 days. I had checked my batteries before I put them in and they were full charge,and again they had hardly any charge. This unit is eating my batteries. I must have a bad one as no one would buy this light if they had to replace 4 triple A batteries every 3 days. Needless to say I'm out 4 triple A batteries. They aren't cheap!!!!
