Caltric Carburetor Compatible with Yamaha Qt50 Qt-50 Qt 50 1979-1987

I didn’t know that I had to replace the top plate with my original one from the original carb. The tubes are too long for all the cables. So I’m my opinion it’s kind of a crap design because I don’t have my original plate. But it does look 100% the same as the original discarding the tubes in the throttle plate

Excellent replacement for my 84 QT50!A quick tuning and she fired right up! Use your original choke and throttle cable connector plate for best results!

Installed it on a Yamaha QT50 that had sat for 40 years along with a few other parts and it fired right up. The throttle and choke cable guides are too long with their curve so I just used the cap and guides from the old carb. Otherwise new cables would be needed.

Fit perfectly, parts interchangeable with the original mikuni carb and started right up. It seemed to run good but is a little too lean and the piston started to seize, partially my fault for not checking the main jet size.

Carb fit my Yamaha QT50 and was easy to install. You MUST adjust the screws after installing too attain the proper idle. 4 stars out of 5 because the carb is not turquoise as pictured, it is silver.

My yamaha 50 started right up and ran great. Very happy with this carburator.

Order the first carb and had slight difficulty’s and the seller quickly jumped to sending me a new one that worked awsome!

I had to replace the top plate with the old carburetor so the stock cables would work. I haven’t died starting the thing yet so I don’t know how well it works. Also the slide in this carburetor is plastic vs the original metal.
