IDrac Enterprise Upgrade - works with the R710 just wonderfully!
This is an upgrade card, designed to upgrade specific Dell PowerEdge servers to iDrac Enterprise. They only work with specific servers. In my case, I purchased these for the Dell PowerEdge R710, and I had no problems at all. You open up your server, remove the little plug covering the rear connector hole, plug this card in, and go. You DO need to line the card up carefully, and push down with a firm even pressure, but if you line it up right it will pop right in. Once in, it provides a dedicated iDrac ethernet port, and upgrades the server to iDrac Enterprise, which includes the ability to open a remote virtual console to the server. That feature alone makes it worth its weight in gold to a Datacenter operator like myself, but it also brings with it virtual media, and a host of other management tools that make it a really nice add. I see one other review that talks about a damaged card - I suppose that whenever we buy used devices this is a risk - so follow common sense and use a well-rated seller, and you should do fine. In my case, everything went well, for both of my servers.

Worked after was sent replacement
First card I was given did not work, idrac would not respond & wouldn't even fit properly on the server. Was sent a replacement and worked just as expected.

Liquid damaged, but still works after cleaning
Purchased this thinking it was in grade A condition, but it looks like the solder is oxidized, and there are a couple of spots of corrosion. It did not work, but I cleaned it and ended up fixing it. Not sure if this one is just a one time kind of deal, but I shouldn't have to pay full price for a non functional item. Pictures included are before cleaning.

Works great. Needs Java 6 and a old version of Firefox.
Dropped into homelab Dell PowerEdge R710 and was up and running in no time. 3 items to be aware of. First you do NOT need the vflash sd card. Seen a number of people questioning this. I can verify just drop it in the server and you are done. Second, this requires Java 6 and older browsers. This feeds into the last item. I will try to add as much as I can. Third, I saw a number of people saying that because it requires Java 6 and old Firefox they are saying that it will NOT work. So I decided to fix this issue. I created a project on github called "AccessIdracPortable". Search github for "AccessIdracPortable" you will find my project. You can then download the zip file inside "complete_install". It will unpack everything to a temp directory and use the included instructions to get it working flawlessly. If you have any questions post them to "issues" and I will try to get it working for you.

Exactly what I was looking for
Works like it should although it could have gotten a dust cleaning before being sent to me. Nothing a quick air duster couldnt fix however would have expected that to be done before it was shipped to me even though it is used, should still be cleaned. No issues with install or function.

Archaic firmware with only TLS1.1
The software on the iDRAC I got is so out dated to the point where I can't update it's firmware at all. In addition, it only communicates at TLS1.1, so no modern browsers work with the dashboard of this device. That's why this board is so cheap. (Besides the fact it's sold as refurbished) I expect to be able to update the firmware at least. Other than that, the board was in perfect physical condition. You get what you pay for.

Broken connected and deep scratches all over
This card looks like it was abuse or someone use their foot to install it previously.

Fonctionne très bien. A permis d'ajouter la fonction iDRAC avec port indépendant à mon serveur DELL PowerEdge R710. Très facile d'installation et de configuration. Je le recommande fortement.
