Needed new filters for pool! Last time I needed some quick. I hit up Amazon and they didn’t let me down! Quickly I had new ones and back in business!! Yea his time was quicker I just looked them up on stuff I had already ordered from years ago!!

This is an OEM cartridge for my 20 year old Sta-Rite filter. I purchased this in May 19, along with the inner narrower/taller cartridge; today is Mid Sept 20’ and the larger failed at the rubber attachment of one of the vertical pleat folds - not at the fibrous pleat, but the rubber near the top as that connects to the hard plastic.This is not my first rodeo with the OEM filter cartridges for this filter. In the past, these filters have lasted me up to five years with good care. In the last decade, I’ve had failures of the support tape rings - which there are two of on these cartridges... and I’ve had to fix these failed adhesive splicing points by sewing the end to the tape (other end) with fishing line, which works great. Also in the last decade I’ve replaced my cartridges - due to early decomposition of the fiber pleats - in half the time as years before - and I really take issue with this.These filters used to... and SHOULD... last more than two swim seasons, which my most recent purchase didn’t even do that - failing at about 16 months.(I purchased a set of replacement cartridges from a local pool provider - out of the box the tall filter had one of the two tape restricters half un-secured, that is, the end of the tape wholly should have been taped, yet only half of that was taped... a quality control issue).While I’ve not tried another brand, these issues which are cropping up - tape/band failure, early decomposition of the fibrous filter material, and now early failure of rubber pleat attachment material - prompts me to consider it.This month I purchased nearly $900 worth of these filters - locally sourced (two sets to provide me a rotation/backup) - and I’m growing impatient seeing my efforts rewarded by filters that seem to almost meet the mark of performance nearly two decades prior.Overall, as a two decade purchaser of these filters, I’m hardly impressed at their durability, but your miles may vary.

This is exactly what we need for our pool system. Best price I've found is on Amazon. Have purchased several times and the quality of the filter is good.

*update*Ok, so now 2020, 8 years after original purchase. Filters still running strong. Showing some signs of minor wear, but no rips or issues with the filter elements. Some staining of elements due to dirt, but washes clean after removal and rinsing. I have avoided using any chemicals to clean filters and just rinse off with water spray inside and out and set in sun to dry. After dry put back in filter housing and start pump. so... I would say these filters are a very good product. I can only expect the quality of this product is as good as it was when I originally purchased in 2012.*original review*Have had these filters in for about a year and the pool water looks crystal clear! Have washed them once during this time... They seem to be holding up. But time will tell. hope they last as long as the last ones (10 years). I would hate to have to spend $300 every year or so just to have clean water...

Purchased this filter in June 2014, used it for about 2 1/2 months, and then closed my pool for the winter. I cleaned all the pool and equipment March 1, 2015 last week, and began running the filter on a timer daily since. Yesterday, March 8,2015 I noticed dirt in the bottom of the pool, so I cleaned it out with the manual vac. This morning it was the same way. So I took the filter housing apart and checked the filters, and the large on has a hole in it. I've had the filters for about 8 months and used them for about 3 months. I was very disappointed with the quality of this filter and the service it provided.

This is the 3rd time I have asked for an answer. The top band on the filter came in loose for 6 inches. How can I fasten it back before I use it???

My pool is a MESS. My heat exchanger was corroded from years of improper water maintenance (previous owner) and the result was a large concentration of copper in the water. So much that it turns my filters a nice turquoise color. Anyway, in my attempt to get the pool back in shape I have to clean the filters almost daily by spraying them off with a hose/sprayer. These filters a holding up just fine under these extreme conditions. They are not "wet paper" as another reviewer stated. Maybe he/she ordered another brand my mistake.

The service was excellent, the product does look the same as the one I have but for some reason it is much lighter hopefully it will do the same job as my old ones.
