Nice colors, but Amazon has color lists wrong for 18- and 24-packs!
I got the 24-pack of colors. They seem like nice colors. The color list for the 24-pack in the product description is wrong. The color list for the 18-pack is wrong too. The color lists for the 6-pack and 12-pack look right but I can't be sure. Here are the colors I got in the 24-pack, from the labels on the tubes and in the order I found them in the package.24-color set:whitelemon yellowpale yellowgambogeyellow ochreorange yellowvermillionscarletcrimson red lakerosemauvevioletpale greensap greendeep greenpthalocyanin greencerulean bluecobalt blueultramarine blueprussian blueburnt siennaraw umberburnt umberblack======================Here are the colors in the 6-pack and 12-pack sets, from their product descriptions and using the same light-to-dark order.6-color set:whitelemon yellowcrimson red lakesap greenPrussian blueblack======================12 color set:Whitelemon yellowYellow OchreVermilioncrimson red lakeVioletSap Greendeep greenPrussian blueburnt siennaburnt umberblack======================Perhaps these lists will help others. Can anyone tell me what colors come in the 18-pack set? The current product description for the 18-pack lists only 16 colors, not 18. I have a nice air-tight pallet box that has only 18 wells.

Nice colors but issues with mold make this paint time-consuming
I ordered these paints to use at home and in a community center art class. Most of the paints have a nice color; however, there are difficulties with several. A day out of the tube, I noticed that the pigment and the materials in the sap green start to separate. They come together again after vigorous mixing with a brush, but it makes it difficult to see the true color right away. After a few months, I noticed mold growing in pale green, sap green, lemon yellow, gamboge, orange-yellow and yellow ochre.Never having had mold in my house before, I did some investigating online and contacted Royal & Langnickel (they have yet to respond). It seems that most paints have chemicals to prevent mold. I normally mist my palette with water before closing the lid in order to keep the paints moist. Now, I leave the lid open and let the paint completely dry out before putting the lid back. This is an inconvenience for me because now I have to use plenty of water and plenty of mixing to get the paints reactivated and ready for use again. I don't have too much time for painting, so each moment I have is precious. I'd rather spend the time painting rather than working on the technical aspects of my paint.I haven't seen any mold show up in my paintings, fortunately. Had I known about the mold problems and needing to let the paint dry completely, I would have gone with a different brand. Still, the colors are nice enough and at $25, you get plenty of paint.

Good Deal
There are better quality paints as far as depth of color and probably light-fastness etc, make no mistake there are some far worse as well. There is no doubt that most of the more expensive paint sets are worth the asking price. However for the artist just beginning to learn and experiment with watercolors this is an outstanding value. I like the generous tube size and the more than adequate range of colors. If I had to absolutely find one con in the whole deal it would be the way the colors are labeled as far as name or description. I definitely am pleased overall with these paints and would highly recommend them to beginners and others artists who are just maybe experimenting with watercolors these just may be all you'll ever need in a watercolor set.

Great Buy, Ideal For Back To School.
I am a serious painter in water colors. i needed a quick re-supply of my paint but didn't have the time to order my normal favorate brands. I took a chance on this item. I hoped it would cover my needs until I had more time to order from my normal supplier. I was very pleased when i added this to my color chart of various colors and brands ''. Its a very useful tool to make for yourself''.. I compaired them with brands like MaimerBlu, Daler-Rowney, Aquarelle-Sennlier. This set worked fine withinn this group. Although Aquarelle is the best. The cost is far less. In my oppinion its a very good purchase of school or normal use.

Wet on Wet worked for me
After seeing the reviews mentioning granulation of pigment doing the wet in wet technique I was apprehensive to buy these however for the price and the amount of paint, I had to try.I did the wet on wet more than a few times( with Prussian Blue, Pale Yellow, Crimson Red Lake, Phthalocyanine Green) and the only time I got the granulated pigment deposit was when I didn't mix the paint on a palette first. I used the smooth side of Canson XL 140lb watercolor paper to experiment with. :)

Perfect set of paints.
As a beginner I can say that this is a very value-for-money set of paints, with a good choice of colours. It has all the colours any beginner would need to begin watercolour painting. I have added these to a palette to allow to dry and have tried a few paintings with them, and I find them perfectly adequate. I cannot say what a professional artist would say about them, but I have found no problem with them at all.

Vibrant paints at a great price
The product included a great range of colours. The wet on wet technique allows for the colours to blend easily and the dry painting technique is perfect for sharp edges. The colours are all rich and vibrant, however, once the foil on the paint tube is pierced, it is hard to stop the flow of paint coming out. Still a great product as water can be used to activate the paint again once it dries. I put the paints in a palette with some others.Definitely would recommend

Very good value
I was a little concerned as the cost of these water colour paints were cheaper than others offered .I have done a test sample and find these paints to be very good .However I will do a full project in time but think my opinion will remain the same , I am not a professional artist . But do know when thing please and give a very good result . Both the seller and items are in my opinion 5 star. Thank you Quick Draw Stationary UK .
