So disappointing. Worked for about 2 minutes then turned it off and it won't turn back on. Paint is chipping off it already! Absolutely garbage.

Out of the package the base of the pottery wheel was banged up with sharp scuff marks on the edges and paint coming off. When I tried to power on the wheel the spinning was inconsistent and would freeze up with any amount of pressure. Very disappointed with the poor quality, product is unusable.

Was not able to center a small amount of clay, because every time I applied any pressure the wheel would stop, with no pressure it would spin, just fine, was vary dissaponted.

Great little pottery wheel and so much fun.

This is a fun little wheel and I will continue to use it and may be able to adapt my technique to make it work better. However, this is certainly not powerful in the way that a traditional wheel is. Even with a tiny piece of very soft clay, centering, opening, pulling up, and shaping strain the motor. Centering slows it to a standstill. I have to get creative to be able to make a small pot. I don't mind terribly since this is an inexpensive product and I am not averse to creative problem solving, but I can see where it would be really frustrating for others. I don't imagine I could successfully throw with more clay than a ball the size of an egg at the max, and it must be very soft.
